My last bloodhound was actually miss treated when I got her as a younger pup. Took some time for her to adjust and trust me but one of the best dogs I've had.

Yeah Belle was beat quite often. I took her as soon as I could and I've been rehabbing her ever since. She was never properly socialized and is literally scared of her own shadow. It's hard, because she's an incredibly sweet and loyal dog. She's only 3 so I'm hoping she keeps up with her improvements and one day she'll be more social.

Mine never truly came out of it. Loved me but was unsure of people she didn't spend a lot of time with. She'd cower at my feet and hide like a small child around new people. Kind of a large dog for that kinda stuff lol.
