Whats everyones thoughts, Good? Bad? Did they forget anything?

Im really liking this:woohoo: and the NTPA right now! lol

Anyone know what it costs to run NTPA events?

everyone is busy worrying about cp3's and fuel additives at the moment. once they learn that 25% is how steep the hitch can be and that ALL RULES EXCEPT THOSE LISTED are the same as the ssdfwd and the alcohol 4wd they will check into that and then there will be a whole different thread of hollering that it costs a fair amount of money to pre commit, not a ton but more than a brush pull entry fee.:hehe:

NTPA is evidently looking to put in a class on a national level and is now taking one step back to see if there is more than 3-6 trucks out there. They started with the elite group that have out dollared everyone in the normal diesel community so now its time to get average pullers to come put on a show.:hehe:

Id really like the see the planned regional schedule.

while I would like to see this class be unlimited single (to be truly pro stock) I think this is the perfect class to run on a national level and we may be intrested in running in it if there is a regional series close we can run in

So its a 3" oem driveline class? They must be working for Dana or NP or something!

whats wrong can't you read the rules? the ssfwd is open driveline:doh:

2. All normal NTPA FWD / Diesel SSFWD rules, including shielding, safety and SFI requirements, apply to this class plus the following rules:

If I recall correctly there is no entry fee for an NTPA event if your a member. Now the membership fee is a few hundred dollars but whats that for the potential for TV and other media coverage.

I would have liked to see Unlimited Singles too but oh well it is what it is.

Hopefully this will make the Super Stock Diesel 4x4 class a Grand National class with a bit more time put into the schedule so those guys can make more shows.

In neither set of rules, the Diesel SSFWD 30-rule list nor the additional 16-rule list, does it say the anything about the frame. Is that to say they can be tube chassis? or is it known and implied somehow that they are to retain an oem frame?

Also, one set say cut tires allowed, the other says no cut tires. Which will it be?

Mitch there are two classes Super Stock - Cut tires Tube frames and Pro Stock - DOT Tire and OEM frame. While it may not say that in the rules someone would have to build a truck for just NTPA pulls. Not sure how many guys are going to do that and not be able to run in other organizations with smiler rules.

So who would be interested in running in this class?

Depending on where they are running these event i would be, i know they hook NTPA in NC but Va is PPL so i will be keeping an eye on the schedule to see if there are any close.

I too was hoping they would have made it an unlimited single considering it is a "PRO" class. The 36/14.50 STS's are what I was planning to run, looks like I'll be in the next class up with the big trucks.

They started with the elite group that have out dollared everyone in the normal diesel community so now its time to get average pullers to come put on a show.:hehe:

Wow, super street trucks are not what I would call average!

whats wrong can't you read the rules? the ssfwd is open driveline:doh:

2. All normal NTPA FWD / Diesel SSFWD rules, including shielding, safety and SFI requirements, apply to this class plus the following rules:

I was going off of AG's post. A 3.0 oem driveline would be a waste for sure.

The only part that sucks is the fact that it cost like 650 to be a ntpa member.

True there is a high price to join but the "A" Purse for this class should be $3,080 and the "B" Purse should be $2,530 Paying 10 spots.

It will pay around 600 to win. i no it used to cost me out the a$$ to get a tech license for ntpa, dosent cost anything with PPL. Richwine is working hard to run Ntpa in the ground.

I would be interested but not the first year. I don't feel like being a guennea pig for the rules and where the events are held. I would like to see the full schedule before I build mine for ntpa... like stated before it will end up with a dedicated puller and be pretty much dedicated to the ntpa events since the rules won't let me pull at other events. it would be built too big for local pulls. unless they start running an open class that I could go in.
