New to 6.7’s

It sounds like you've got quite the project with your '09 Cummins ISB 6.7! Since you're transitioning from a 12v setup, here are a few suggestions:

  1. HS Min Max Issue: For the HS tuner that won’t power off, it's likely wired directly to the battery. You might want to rewire it to an ignition-switched power source to ensure it cycles with the ignition.
  2. Service Indicator: The "service dog" alert might be linked to the missing EGR and DPF systems. A diagnostic scan can confirm this. Proper tuning might clear the warning if it's emission-related.
  3. Performance and Reliability: For the stock bottom end to remain reliable as a daily driver, avoid pushing it too hard. The turbo choices like the 467 or 464 are still solid for performance while maintaining reliability.
  4. Next Steps: Installing a lift pump and getting professional tuning are great first steps. This setup can help manage fuel delivery more efficiently and make the most of your existing mods.
Consider visiting a diesel specialist to fine-tune your setup and diagnose any specific issues like the service alert. Keep us updated on your progress.
The AI is strong with this one.

The check engine light isn’t on but the light on the PRNDL dings and says service DPF every so often.
I missed this in the original post. Mine will flash DPF FULL about twice a year. When it does, the only way to get rid of it is to reinstall the download using the MiniMaxx. Go to install download using the buttons on the left side of the box and follow the prompts. Get your MiniMaxx required so it can be on battery of ignition. You need it on battery, so it stays on to install the downloads.

Some people just want something that works without having to tinker with stuff. Why didn't you ingenuitize you a new turbo if it's cooler than making others rich?
Said no diesel owner ever....

I know this is late but I couldn't pass it up

I ordered the -2.5” springs, Carli track bar, caltracks and lowering shackles. I’ll take leafs out til it sits level.

Anything else while I have it apart? One of the upper BJ’s has a hair of play. Who makes the best and available? Rest of the steering is new moog/mopar parts with a two shock steering stabilizer.

95% certain these are the wheels I’ll end up getting https://www.kmcwheels.com/kmc-mesa-forged-slotted-beadlock

What’s the good street tire these days, and size for a lowered 4x4? Or recommendations, I normally run hankook dynapro, I like the tire and they still have white lettering. Bonus for white wall tires.

Anyone ran the red letter general tire?

Don’t know about a newer truck but my 95 is lowered the same way you mentioned and I like 285’s or a 33x12.50. I’ve ran 2 new sets of Coopers now and they’ve been awesome. Toyo has always been best in my book.

EMF ball joints are the ****.
