for someone thats done so much sure doesn,t know ****. every racer knows theres buggggggs.wish you the best. tired of the bullsh$t talk.
Greg quit telling everyone you will run 6's and do it. We've been hearing this for a few years now.
What you don’t understand is that I have many years of doing this. The parts are proven; the convertor is the very same Coan convertor that I ran 8.29 @ 167 mph with in the Predator truck.
The engine program is proven in the Mustang. The transmission is proven as well as the gear ratios
I have many years of dragster experience in the hardest convertor class in NHRA , competition eliminator.
Wade you are just too hard headed to listen, to me or JohnBoy, you would have been much faster on about the 2nd pass with an experience driver, and a proven transmission combination.
You have zero experience or even a license in the truck you built. We have all told you that a clutch will take much more time to work out, and any passes without running nitrous, were wasted, if you’re going to figure out the clutch. I know what’s in you clutch can, and you need to spend 5 times that amount, to get the type clutch, that will allow you the adjustability. its a nice truck, and You will get there, but you have a long road ahead of you, both in learning a new car , to learning how to drive one of these.
I don’t waste time, I have been doing the dragster thing for many years, and some of my, like Mike Wood have been doing this for many years as well.
the time its taking to finnish this car is just money , I spend what I can , but its not cheap. Parts for this car come out of my pocket.
. I stand by my statment , it’s just too simple 1200 proven flywheel hp and a 1800 lbs with driver, of proven chassis. A chassis that is just about as good as it gets magnesium body , titanium rear end with titanium axels , and carbon fiber brakes . slip joint , cable suspended dragster
Remember many years ago, I took a old worn out and put up wet ProStock truck, and went mid 9s when no one had ever going that fast. I did that in the 4th pass at the track.
A years later I put in i the 8’s.
I went out west and this same convertor and gearing program went in the 7’s in 5 passes.
I’ll do a few shake down passes as part power to make sure everything works as expected , then when JohnBoy turns up the wick , it will be second or third fastest diesel period that day and within a few more outings the car will go in the 6’s solidly .
not bragging , in light of the programs listed .
What do you mean i did'nt listen to you? running a auto.....thats the easy way to go down the track, what i've done is lighter/stronger and will be faster, plus you can tune it for track conditions......i guess every top fuel car must be doing there transmissions the wrong way, cause greg said so....:nail:
And greg just so you know, i bet you wont make a 6 sec 1/4 for at least 8-10 passes or more!! You will find problems..

You need to blow your nose!:hehe:
I've always been curious...didn't Doug Doring run 9s like back in the 80s?
no Doug didn't before the 9 second pass I ran, I talked to him durring that time,
