NX Duramax Mustang gets New ZZ manifold , just in time for Hot Rod Drag Week 2010

Congrats to the Dmax crew on this team! I'm sure this will open many eyes to the benefits of diesels.

Congrats John on the great tuning. Sounds like a fun time. Think I may give it a try in a pickup.

Drag Week

I just got home from National Trails. Mike loaded the car up as siad that the 9.21 pass was good enough being he had to drive it home. That is truly a impressive ride to drive that far and run that fast and drive it home again! Job well done! Congrat's Also Larry Larson with his crew chief(Troy Wakeman) set a new drag week record at the end of the night. They went 6.95 at 209 !!!! Unreal a car can be driven and run that fast. Unreal is the only word. Jeff

Thanks to everyone. Mike and I really appreciate all the well wishers!

Special thanks to My Dad and 0_LLY. No getting it fixed without them.

Also big thanks to the locals at PIR. Everyone was trying to help. It was awesome.

We swaped out an input from another racer in to our trans. Was not sure it would work. It was tense moment when we set it down on the ground and started it. Would it move? Yes it did. :woohoo:

Drove with out issue to Trails. Man where people shocked to see us.

Only got one pass but it was a good one. Mike left off the lowest setting in the 2step I had programed. Bogged a little but hooked and hauled.*nx*

Great see you and your son Saturday.
Saturday night was awesome. Almost everyone is running their cars as hard as they can. Glad I was there to see it.

Forced Induction FTW!!!

Booooooost!:rockwoot:

Talked to Mike late last night, he was home, long drive home. He had not figured the exact fuel mileage, but it was in the mid 40’s. I know he drove the speed limit RIGHT!!!!! .

The NX Mustang is making an impact in the mainstream world, opening the eyes of many of the potential of a diesel power plant in a hot rod project.

Heading to ZZ this morning, maybe he will let me show you some of the new individual runner 24 valve manifolds, I’ll try and get a few pictures. My Coan convertor came in yesterday, bolt together mega convector for my dragster, my wallet is feeling the pain. But we are now working on getting to the track soon

whats the 25th

Mike is going to do more testing with slicks and a billet imput shaft . The car is expected to run mid to high 8's the mph will surport a 8.60 if it had somthing more then a small street tire

here are some pictures of Drag Week that Mike gave me while I was up there , they were taken by Zack Gabanyicz , a 10 year old , great pictures Zack

The NX Mustang in the rain, try this in a race car

fixing the broken input shaft , with almost 1100 rear wheel hp this was going to happen, a new 300 m shaft was only $250 bucks

RaceJunk Classified Ads

here is a cool thought buy the car in this ad.

Buy a KPE Dmax engine and a gear vendors / powerglide.
You would have a total of around $50,000 total in it

You would then own a Diesel funny car that would run mid 7's , with a total streetable engine , and maybe drive it on the street in next years Drag Week.

Did I read that wrong or did you just suggest driving a funny car on the street ?
