Opinions on this tire rule.

Turbolvr great Sig

Cummins guys keep it straight, the others go both ways!

I also think the no duals thing sucks. I don't run duals but if my truck came with them I should be able to run them and I could because my truck came stock with 6 235's which is only 55" you could go all the way up to 265's and be good as long as they aren't going to nick you for the .5". I am also fighting with our local pulling org for rule changes also and I am on the board and am a class rep but I still can't get rule changes or add a class like I want because I am up against an org that has been around since before there were diesels. they think we are growing too fast by wanting a class bigger than work stock 2.5 I understand your complaint as I am going thru it too. good luck!

I think it stupid to even worry about tires everyone knows too much traction can hurt you just as well as help sometimes. If safety is an issue then thats another thing look at how the duals are mounted on non factory drw trucks if they have some home made cheap adapters then that should be an issue if they have put a drw rear end in it then it should be fine. I know i wont be showing up at any pulls that require me to remove 2 tires from my factory drw truck

Im not worried about it as im running singles in 2.8. But my friend has a 6.7 mega cab dually that he wants to pull and he runs 285s. He dd/tows this truck and we will soon be prolly putting a s366 on it because the stock turbo is taking a dump. He wants to pull it at part of the pulls but cant. Theres no way hes gonna buy another set of tires just so he can pull and either would i.

i can see how they are going to loose a few of the dd trucks for sure....but at the same time 30 years ago they probably went through growing pains with the tractor and gas pickups that wanted to run duals because that's what they ran in the field and on the street. eventually the diesel truck class will grow into dedicated pullers only like the tractors and gas pickups have grown.....

mite as well sell our trucks and sit at home pulling our puds, no wait somebody get get shot in the eye so that is dangerous too. LOL. seriously guys whats the point of competition if no one can compete through individual choices. It would be like nascar. Every truck would be 299 and some change. Rules for class distinction is fine, rules for what ifs or so nobody is ahead of the competition are retarded. If orginizations cant get it together, we will all go back to brush pulling and then we can really blow stuff up. Tim

Way i look at it its iowa theres not alot of people pulling why would you turn away what little trucks they do have. These are all basically brush pulls at fairs and what not you should be trying to get as many into pulling as you can. They said we dont have trucks that compete on the national level around here and that was there reasoning for not just running something like the nadm rules. It just dont really make any sense. All the trucks that pull around here are daily drivers accept kevin with his duramax which is just a puller and i will have a 2.8 puller next year also. So anyone with a after market turbo will have to compete in the 2.8 class because the other class it stock appearing.

First off let me introduce myself, my name is Bryan Rademacher. I have taken direct offense at the last post made by kpjcummins
I don't know if kjpcummins has a hard-on with Kevin, Chris or the MPA as a whole but a few things need to be cleared up. Myself, along with a group of guys that include the current and past Pres., Vice Pres., Chairman and members from the Board of Directors started/created the Midwest Pullers Association.

The MPA was created to end "brush pulling" here in central Iowa. Just like any other area, no matter where we went the rules were different and we needed a set that traveled from town to town. This has been accomplished with flying colors, and I'm very proud of this.

To refer to the MPA as a bunch of "brush pullers at town fairs" not only insults the good people that put many, many hours into making the MPA work, but you also insult the town and towns people who PAY MONEY for these shows (right aound 15 this year).

"Knagle" and Chris DO NOT MAKE COMPETITION RULES FOR THE MPA DIESEL CLASSES. The MPA pride comes from each and every puller having a voice. Rule changes and suggestions are voiced from members of the class to their class rep. he then will present the "rule or rule change" to the MPA Board and they will vote on it.
To suggest that Kevin Knagle made rules to fit his truck or Chris's truck only, would mean that the entire MPA Board of Directors agreed to this and thought it would be best and then voted in. Do you know how ludicrous that sounds?

Gas truck rules were put to a vote and locked in for 3 years (if I remember correctly, it was 3 years). They knew the diesel classes were going to need work and left these open for more input for 2010.

"It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt." -Mark Twain

Kevin and Chris are on the board. They have both told me in person and on the website what the rules are goin to be so whats the point in making suggestions. They have made rules up during the season as it progressed. If a truck meets the rules to a class and is even a member why shouldnt they be able to pull.

I find it interesting that your still hung up on Kevin and Chris. You "know" what they are thinking, you "know" what they are going to do, You "know" the rules are set, etc, etc, etc.
The MPA BOARD MAKES THE RULES, THE DIESEL RULES ARE NOT MADE FOR 2010, YOU CAN GO TO A MEETING THIS SATURDAY AND VOICE YOUR OPINION (your good at that, facts....not so much).

What I find more interesting is the FACT that you chose to complain about Kevin and Chris and have no thought in your head about, I don't know, maybe a little apology regarding you brush puller comment. Seems to me your just pissed off to be pissed off, and looking to blame one or two people. If you took the same amount of time, piss'n and moaning on the INTERNET and applied it to how YOUR organization works maybe, just maybe you wouldn't look so foolish.

Ok, now this ain't the site you chose to post on....... You feel reel good about posting on MPA's forum. Bud, you don't have one ounce of credit to post anything, on any website, that has anything to do with truck pulling. It's a good thing you know DieselWrench and his brother, 'cause with out those men, your little boy ass don't know ****.
STOP POSTING BULL**** ON EVERY WEBSITE YOU CAN FIND ABOUT THE MPA!!
You don't know **** about pulling, drivelines, I would venture to guess that you can't do the math to figure finals. Hell, I've forgot more about pulling than you know... and 100's have forgot more than I know.....Guess we all know where that leaves you.................

Nick and Ryan and good friends of mine and have nothing to do with this. I do all my own work in my garage at home and dont go write a check for someone to do it for me. So tell use what it takes for drivetrain to stand up behind a diesel Bryan its alot more than a gas truck ill tell you theres a reason my 02 didnt break once all season.

Final drive on my 02 is 13.86 and my 97 is 13.95 math is one thing im very good at.

Ryan is a hell of a guy, good man. You on the other and act like the opposite on these web boards. Tell you what, I had to go to GM 2.5 ton housings up front and a Rockwell 106 rear with SCS (http://www.scsgearbox.com) axles and T-case for my little engines. I stopped pulling w/ a 540" hat injected, alky, filled motor on the stand. That little engine put out 900ft/lb w/ 1200hp. I would venture to guess your new truck is more badass:hehe:..... Your a punk, get off every website that has anything to do with pulling. People that read anything you post, become dumber

I know if rules get to where there are so many complications just to go down the freakin track. Ill get out of it and drag race or something. Allow them or don't like zstroken said.

1200HP?? Man I was hoping to break 400 HP this year. Always next year I guess!

Ill get out of it and drag race or something.

I did....drag racing this summer

My post's here have nothing to do with what rules are being made. I want the good people here to know a couple things. The MPA and its people are top notch, MPA events and the towns that host are top notch and no single person makes the rules or has the ability to do so.
