Otwell,indiana Truck pull

Tater, do have any vids of your truck? I love to hear guys say they "know" their suspension or setup won't handle a certain track. Then 20 guys with the same blocked suspension go down the track without problems. How is your "setup" any different than the other stock-sprung, ladder-barred, and blocked rearends out there?

i'm not red dodge 2....... i went to the martin county pull as a spectator i saw the track and knew my setup wouldn't handle it... so i knew i wouldn't for sure.....and i think there should've been more classes becuz you guys have way more invested than what i do.... but then you go put the black/green dodge in an exhibition class???? that tells me some one was scared.... but it don't matter i'll be in your "exhibition class" sometime... i don't understand you people....make it fair if you want it to be fair..... this will be my last post about this stupid crap.....

but i do hope to see more trucks @ otwell.... good track... good people... good times.....:thankyou2:

Tater,

You need to get your facts straight before you go posting about something you don't even know about. There is a nice feature on this site called "SEARCH" it is located in the menu bar just below the banner. This post will clear up most of the nonsense you have posted over 4 pages revert here:

No one was scared of Brandon's Dodge, we've pulled against him at several different pulls. He just forgot a bushing and was a good sport about it. We didn't want to leave him out to dry so he pulled exhibition.

Your buddy red dodge knew what he was up against and decided to go ahead and pull anyways. If not, he missed the several 100 flyers passed out, multiple web postings, etc. that said 2.8 class. Your spout about him running in the class with a 2.6 charger makes no sense. If you would of happened to look at the competition at all you would of noticed or heard Gainer was running a 2.6 charger and placed 3rd, must of been a fluke.

We wanted to have a 2.6 class also but the fair board decided to give us one class due to time constraints. All drivers were told this multiple times before are class started.

I honestly don't know where your coming from about your setup? Are you suggesting you would of broke or overpowered the track? I've seen you pull before and I'd bet with the setup you had last year your truck would of put down no more than 450hp and thats given you the benefit of the doubt. I'm sorry but your truck is no different than any other weekend puller out there.

About the track, everyone knew it would be difficult to get down but most of the pullers adapted to the conditions and made the best of it.

Again, you need to get your facts straight before you post.

for one 1 on the dyno it said 516hp, and it barely hit 40lbs of boost so... :blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1::blahblah1:

and no by no means would i over power the track.... i had hopping issues in the 1st place thats why i didn't pull much last year..... and i've decided to build a truck j/ for pulling instead of trying to drive it to work too...

yes i do.... you tell me whats wrong w/ it i'm wondering myself....not being smartass i'd really like to know..... i thought it might have something to do w/ blocked up too high.... but not for sure..... and it was just that a weekend puller...

the track was crap.... i haven't been to many pulls where the tractors hop taking off and 1/3 way down the track...

I'd much rather pull on a crappy track for 500 to win than a good track for 100....But thats you and me...Its obivious you don't know anything about rules and pulling...

ok.... i'm better now... i was gettin a lil upset...1st i don't have anything against any of you guys... and 2nd instead of barking remarks @ me and j/ trying to make me mad or w/e how bout some one pm me and teach me something.... i'm more than willing to learn...i will admit i don't know a lot about all this but i want to learn

just reach over and press the power button on your computer.

no matter how many winner's payouts you collect, it will never total what you have put into your truck. so whats the point of b*tching? its for the love of the sport, not so much the monetary reward. I am in the process of building a truck to compete with the "big dogs" of the sport...and its not cheap. If you want cheap, you don't belong in that class anyway.

Really?? Man I thought if I won a couple pulls I'd get my money back that I put into my truck??? Damn it :hehe:

Tater,

You will have to post a dyno sheet before I would believe that. I can remember when Jon used to put 20-30ft. on you with just a tune, intake, and exhaust.

No one is trying to make you mad but you can't get on a forum and start posting on something you know nothing about and then expect everyone to help you in the end.

Mason hit the nail on the head. Your truck could be a decent pulling truck but YOU have to be the one to make the changes necessary. You have to see what works and what does not. Just for instance, you would not believe how many types, sizes, etc. of tires we have went thru on Jon's truck to see what works the best.
