i feel ur pain man! spun a rod bearing tuesday night, im going to kentucky to pick up another engine and just parting my old one out. good luck man.
But on another note i greatly appreciate your input and i would like you all to know that im very pleased that you all have came to my aid. It would be very tough for me to deal with this problem if i didnt have people like yall to guide me through this. I'm just the kinda guy that believes in givin credit where credit is due LOL
Did you drain the coolant first?Ok guys just an update, the head is off and i pulled the valves everything looked fine to me but I'm not sure what exactly I'm looking for I will add though that when i was loosening the head bolts it was like there was pressure built up inside of them and I saw some coolant on a few, one of them was actually rusted. I pulled the coolant line that runs into the head and whenever I pulled the bolt closest to it it shot coolant out of the fitting. I inspected the head gasket and I did not see anything wrong with it. the valves all look fine as well as the push rods although there is some buildup on the valves I can take some pictures if yall believe it will help. I am still in need of direction I don't have any clue what I'm lookin for guys
Thanks
Ethan
Should have been the first thing done. Good advice.you could always cut the filter open, faster, and cheaper then oil analysis. and will answer your question definitively
I'm confused? Easily done I'll add, but didn't you say that you already had the head off earlier?Got the bumper and grill guard off,the intercooler is ready to fall out but im gonna wait till tomorrow to drop fluids
Had a buddies truck do the same thing. Oil squirters were pluged for #5 and #6 pistons. Make sure they are not pluged when you pull it. That sucks.
