All right, looks like I moved up the ranks last night. I only made three runs, ran best on my first run and cut a 2.003 60'.

I just turned 1,000 miles on my 3250 DD and tried a boosted launch once and it was quite a challange. I tried 2nd gear and it didnt leave that hard and felt slow. I left at 20 psi but the rpms were pretty low. Do I need to be at a higher rpm but the same boost in order to launch well? I'm thinking about getting an electric line lock. Will that diss-engauge quick enough for a good reaction time?

It would be cool if someone could post a "how to do a boosted launch" video and post it on youtube.

I had to correct the numbers, I actually ran 2.002 not 2.003. Timebomb, I want to see that third decimal, we need a tie breaker. As it stands, whoever posts the number first gets the position.

Three feet....

Nah really you just need a really good working right foot. I heel the brake and toe the acc. Takes practice, the line lock would be easier.

That was like 6 years ago. I have no clue were the slip is, all I know is it was 2.00

Try this on for slow.

Kazairl, 2.651, 4x4, 3rd, 285/75/16, 325-350,stock

That was in my 02 with 5600 Jammer 3 and Edge EZ. In my defense I've only drag raced my truck twice. that was on the second try. Oh and I ran a 16.1 at 88mph. the 4.10's do come in handy!

They come in handy off the line, but bite you in the ass on the top end. :bang. But you do have the 2nd fastest stock clutch 60 foot time...

My best was 1.718, 4x4, 3rd gear, 265/75/16, SBC dual disk. EST HP at that time 500/515rwhp.

Do you immeadetly go full throttle the instant you come off the break and engouge the clutch. Does the cutch come out smooth and kinda ease it out quickly or even quicker as I did in a 2500rpm dump/ launch.

Funny you mention a good working right foot. That's the same foot that got jacked up in my head on CTD vs Kennworth accident. I had to quit my job of 10 years because of the injuries to my ankle/ heel. It works good enough, but my ankle doesnt flex up much or bend in or tilt. Its like its fused. So with a little right foot history do you think it could be dont with a line lock?

let me know if you want to see pics of my wreck. :D

I'm hoping for mid to high 13 on my 03HO, Silverbullet, Smarty TNT, MP8, SBC DD3250, FASS HPFP, stock tires, and a 3rd gear launch. Last time it dynoed 475whp with the stock clutch and stock LP so I hoping to be closer to 500.

I hope it can make it and drive home.

Line lock and traction bars should also help.

The weight of the truck should be part of the equation.

I just have something against a truck that is 1500-2000# less then another, and insist on playing in the same class. ;-).

Ha ha. Yeah out of two people!:bang But it should get better since i've got an ADR now and a 62/71/14, SBC 3250 thats going to be on the truck shortly.

That run was at 7450 lbs. BTW

Big Dan, mid 13's is really lofty expectations and or goal for a 475 HP stick shift. Unless you can shift a lot better than everyone else, you'll need about 575 hp to put your truck solidly into the 13's.

His expectations are definetly do able. I had an 05 with 476hp and 951tq and ran a 13.5 at 100mph. The 60ft that I posted in this thread was from that run. It is definetly possible, you just have to know how to shift.

was that using your clutch, or power shifting?
