Puking oil on spool up?

The more I think about what I saw when you pulled, and what was on the track, it might have just been a hard spot on the track, not an oil streak. I could not see it very well from where we were sitting. Did you check your oil today and see how low it was compared to before the pull?

yea, it did look like along path of oil, but now that travis brought it up, it may have just been the lights shining down on the track. So it was 2nd gear that killed you? That's relieving, definitely sounded not right.

Tj I thought you knew it was puking oil, When I hooked you at the test and tune it left a little stream the whole way down the track . Not to horrible but it looked like a old detroit. lol

You should check and make sure you are actually loosing oil on the dipstick. A few weeks back i had the same problem. It was puking oil up really bad under acceleration. Ended up being fuel in the oil. And i was gaining oil insted of loosing. You might have an injector leaking back into the engine.

when I install the Twins I put a breather on the valve cover and install a 12V Tappet cover... I'm running 70psi and don't seem to get more than a drip every now and then.

here is how I vented my valve cover.... Bought them at Jegs

im def not getting fuel in it. it gets low on the stick and also doesnt smell like fuel.

i'll look into it more, but i just need to figure out if its normal or not. if its normal to push that kinda oil out at 60psi and 4k then i'll add some breathers to vent the pressure at the valve covers rather than all of the pressure pushing through that cheap stock piece up front and forcing oil out with it.

more info and pics on that set-up...i found the edelbrock part on jegs but how do you have it attached?

I had some oil on the dyno after doing multiple runs ranging from 50psi to 70psi.

Doesn't he CR valve cover have a kind of "oil filter" breather...kinda like the 12v covers posted above? I know that style kick's A$$ on my 12v's!

I always had oil puking with the tappet cover breather, went to the valve cover style, and haven't had any drips from the hose yet!

With the block on the stand it would be a piece of cake. It's held on with 3 or 4 bolts I think. Not sure if you can get to it with the pump on though?

I noticed some of the billet aluminum tappet covers come pre-drilled for AN hose fittings for breathers, why couldn't you just modify the stock cover for a breather?

Or maybe it would still puke oil from there?

I also put a 12v side cover on my , it bolts wright same thing really just has the breather
