Puking oil on spool up?

Just kinda jumping in on the middle of everything here but i had the same problem. Not 100% what was causing it but with the tappet cover beather and the gear housing breather (minus the puke bottle) it fixed my problem. It would dump almost 3oz. to 5oz. just on the dyno. Like i said dont mean to jump in the middle of anything, just lettin you know your wasnt lonely in sweating horsepower. :)
 
thanks 366, im gonna add a couple breathers to the valve cover first because its easier and cheaper...if that don't work then i'll get the tappet cover breather.
 
Instead of that expensive breather you posted why not try a couple of the cheap push-in ones like all of us 12v guys use? I have two on valve covers and then a small one on the oil fill cap.
 
yea im going with a type that at least has a hose i can run down. i know there will still be a little oil mist, but shouldn't be copious amounts of oil like there is on the gears in the timing case.
 
The timing case is cracked on the tow rig, that is my breather!
