Results from my testing today

I had sort of the same problem. All i can blame it on is rail presseure being to high. Max being around 26000psi. Didn't figure it out until i blew the solenoid right off the top of one. Sent all away to get checked and all had damage inside. Got a new set with bigger nozzles and voila' Runs like a champ now.:rockwoot:
Hope everything pans out in your favour. Good luck

Thanks man!!

I've made some good changes this time and corrected a few things, so we'll see..

I'll keep ya posted!

Hey man!

Well, I will know more on Friday I hope......I just keep having more issues other than power....This last time, I blew one of the small little freeze plugs INSIDE the head....It blew a chit load of Antifreeze into my motor!!! I just installed the Dr. Performance Threaded Freeze Plug kit so this will never happen again....Might blow one of the block plugs but thats better than antifreeze in the motor!!

As for other things.....Well I found some galling on my rockers..one of my intake rockers was almost locked up!! Im not sure if this occurred due to the antifreeze being in there or if this has been happening over time......Got it smoothed out and am going to re-use..For now!!

Jeff Garmon just purchased an expensive Injector machine....He's getting into the fuel business now...Injectors and testing!! SO, He tested all of my injectors Yesterday....Found One that was WAY outta spec for return fuel....The machine has two tubes that show the Amount of fuel delivered and the Amount of fuel Returned...All of them hit just above the 18 mark on delivery and were right around 3 on the return......2-4 is within spec on return.....The one bad one was returing OVER 10!!!
SO , THAT was one of my problems with power!!! We swaped in a good body with my Flux 3.8 tip on the bad one and then tested it again!! We got 18+ on delivery and only 3 on return........So THAT should help a lot!!

I re-lapped in my valves also....Just to make sure they were fresh while I had the Head off....

I finally sprung for some ARP 625 Studs and have them torqued down nicely now.....Will have to do a couple of re-torques to make sure before I Thrash on it....

Haven't checked the FCA's yet on my CP3's....I'm gonna wait on that until I see if Installing the Fuel Pressure Regulator ByPass will help the HIGH RP issue at idel.....I'll be able to turn the Inlet pressure down to 8-10 psi like it's supposed to be....

ONLY MAJOR thing I Really worried about now is if I can get this Engine Flushed REALLY well and Salvage my bearings!!!! That Antifreeze is NOT good in the motor!!

As for you, you need to get Jeff G. or someone to test your injectors!! Soon!!

Have you done a compression test??

Maybe bore scope the cylinders to see if the pistons look ok.....

I hope you get it figured out and its NOT serious!!!

:Cheer:

How DID F1 NOT FIND THIS PROBLEM??????????????????

How DID F1 NOT FIND THIS PROBLEM??????????????????

We'll, this may not have been my only problem and could have occurred since they were returned....I did get to put at least 300-400 miles on them before my freeze plug issue!!

I can't blame F1. With the LP inlet pressure rising all the sudden and causing that really High RP at Idle issue, that could have caused it.....Who knows!!

I'm just glad Jeff has this machine now....Testing anytime I need!!!! Priceless!!!!!!!!!!!

"The" Jeff Garmon Man Clush!!! NICE!! I am LMFAO!!!!:hehe::hehe:

But honestly I am glad that Jeff found that for you. I know it has been a pain in the ars for you. Good deal, hope you have the Interceptor up and running soon! ( Good thing because your twins where wanting to get on my truck):poke:

OH YEAH!!

I want to Thank Jonas at HTT for gettin my SS housing repaired with the new RonA Billet Puck system fix!!! Thats another fix that I'm hoping will hellp me get my Power, Spool, and Drivability Back!!!

Thanks HTT / Jonas

I'm glad you found your problem, it gets very frustrating...I think we are now looking at the injector bodies, found 1 cylinder with low pressure. Gonna pull the head and see if the valaves are screwed up or some thing to do with that cylinder is loose. I just did the bottom end, pistons, connecting rods, girdle so it can't be any of that...maybe a flat lobe on the cam, bad injector body, bent pushrod, bad valves...I hope we figure it out soon...Since we had to pull the ehad anyways, I'm gonna ahve them put the tapped freeze plugs in. I'm pretty sure both turbo's are fine, it has to be a fuel issue...

Ok, so it looks like mine was a valave issue. Still doing the freeze plugs, that one less problem down the road. Hoping to get mine back in a week or so and just be able to drive it..

Well, the trucks back up and running.....Gonna start a new thead when I get the chance tmrw. morn....Gotta hit the sack now though...on duty at 0545..:bang

Quick details is :

Rattle is Still very loud and annoying!!

Spool is about the same.

Power STILL feels like it down from my original HP and track times....Just seat-of-pants feeling....Hoping to confirm at Reynolds NADM race this coming Saturday!!

My high idle RP issue seems to be more intermiten but YES it's still there!!:bang

I'm leaning to the ECM having a ghost or something in it......Much like "oneton", "HighTechRam", and a few others that are just DOWN on power and DON'T know why!!

This is frustrating to say the least!!

Sorry to hear about the problem still being there... I understand, the last time we sent the inj in to f1 it costed 900 and truck ran th same after and melted a piston for th third time. Now we sent them in again and it seems like truck now finally runs smooth and rattle seems to hav disappeared. Hope u can find it too...
