This will be my first time at this event and I'm trying to decide whether to rent a room or bring the popup camper. So as I understand it there is open house at the shop on Friday, drag racing at Beech Bend and then pulling at the SOKY fairgrounds later on Saturday. Are folks camping at Beech Bend or at the fairgrounds? Thanks, Ron

Not bringing the house this year to anything most likely, I'll be cruising in german engineered comfort without the benefit of a GN hitch, and without the horror of 25 gallons of diesel every 250 miles LOL LOL LOL
 
Well. you talked me into it......wait I talked myself into it! Since we didnt make sturgis I guess we might as well come down. I hope there are still rooms at the Ramada!

Hopefully we will have a long train of Indiana guys!!!!!
 
Guys also remember that if you want to make sure your run gets filmed at TS P.m. me and I'll give you my number and I'll can film it and get it in the video. FloridaStroker lets not forget to exchange numbers and you can convoy down with us.
 
BFD99, when you say that those vendors marked * are going to be set up at the event, which event do you mean? I understand there's going to be 3 different locations for things. TS on Friday, Beach Bend (?) drag strip on Saturday morning, and the fairgrounds on Saturday evening. Where will the vendors be set up? I will only be able to make it to the pulls on Saturday afternoon is the reason I ask.
 
umm i'm not sure, i just copy and pasted that, i would ask dennis perry or bye now, which is sheila perry. They are the ones in charge!
 
Are we allowed to park trailers at the track? If not, how big is the parking lot at the Ramada?
 
Shouls be plenty of room at The Ramada. It is right next to a local high school. I will check about parking in their lot too.

Might sound like a dumb question but do any of the hotels have room to park a dually with about a 35 foot gooseneck?? Hate to get a hotel with no room to park within about 3 miles. And whos bringin the nametags :D
 
Wasnt thinkin' I was going to make it......but it looks like I have a pass! probably sharing a room with Elmo as my normal roommate Dillehay will be bringing his better half. Scary huh? :hehe::hehe:
 
For those hitting town on Friday the TS open house starts at 8:30 a.m. Get there and get signed up with Dyno Dave for the DPM dyno. ($75 for 3 pulls) We are having a catered bar-b-que lunch from 12:00 - 2:00. The open house will wrap up around 8:00 p.m. From there alot of the crowd will be heading to Wha Bahs, back to the hotels or the campground. http://www.whabah.com/

Saturday morning gates open at Beech Bend @ 8:00a.m. for an action packed day of racing. This year we have added a modified class and a dragster class to the regular line up of of street diesel brackets, Quick Diesel & Pro Street. Beech Bend will be following NHRA rules. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded in each class.

The TDR & Genos Garage is putting on the Show-n-shine competition. For those wanting to enter the show-n-shine please enter through the competition gate. There will also be a burnout competition sponsored by CompD & PowerStrokeNation.com The dyno will also be set up at the track along with the vendor alley.

For those pulling the tech opens at 3:00p.m at the Southern Kentucky Fairgrounds. (Directions from Beech Bend to the Fairgrounds will be available at the gates at Beech Bend) The first hook should start around 6:00 p.m.

If you have not made your hotel arrangements, please do so as soon as possible. Alot of the area hotels are already sold out for the event. For a list of hotels go to www.tsperformance.com and click the event section.

Well Dennis it looks like I won't be making it to your event again this year. My motor won't be ready in time. I really wanted to help you with the two wheel drives but I guess it wasn't to be. I'll try to make it to watch. You guys have a great time.
