Levi (Turbo Performance Products) is the one with the video. they are at the event still i believe watching the drags. Believe me, i want to see it more cause i know what has gone into making it run. It was the maroon 4 door dually with the flames on it.

I say for every hour we have to wait we get to pull one of his finger nails out!!!

we need to see some videos from anyone who was there.

Any dyno results? I hit 789 horsepower and 1387 torque. Last I saw yesterdays high was 802 and Fridays was 830ish

Sounds fun to me!!! Brings back memories when i was young and had a hot mustang, lots of tire burnning, street racing....those were the days!!!
The only difference now days is theirs black smoke in with the blue:hehe:

he was doing it by our hotel, yeah I was waitin to see a cop come around the corner and take them to jail :hehe:, then they were climbing curbs and stuff over by wendy's

it was a coupling in the air line that controls the pan on the sled, it wasn't anything from the truck... tis why the next guy that pulled the sled nearly took it to Illinois with him cause the weight box never moved.
 
What is Dan Painters truck? Is it a Ford with a Cummins, or a Mechanical Stroke? I didnt go, and i forget what his truck looks like. Couldnt find anything on youtube either.

Before I get flamed...I love diesel trucks and have owned them for many years. I currently own two and a diesel mower. I like diesel. And I love the shows like Scheids.

I'm an employee of Vigo County Government (highway engineer) and I live here. I've attended all of the Scheid shows. And each year the "hot rodding" on the public streets and lots gets worse and worse. I know members of the County Council...one of whom is a fairgrounds board member and was taking money at the gate entrance.

They don't like the negative image of drag racing, tons of black smoke all day long and "rowdy" people driving like maniacs on US41 and public streets. Most of the John Q Public could care less about truck pulls and diesel pickups. They will be the ones who shut it down. The fair board doesn't HAVE to rent the space out to a diesel show. It can sit there as far as they are concerned. The sprint car races, the fair, 4H and even drag racing doesn't have the problems the diesel show has.

Those are just the facts. I'm 100% positive that somebody (maybe many) in the public will complain to both the county and the fair board. The way its going, its only a matter of time before it gets shut off at the Vigo County fairgrounds. Simple real world facts that will have to be faced at the end of the day.

There aren't enough cops to stop it all. In a county of 100,000 people...they've got tons of other complaints to take care of as well and 1500 miles of other roads to patrol. When it happens...all the people who drive normally and enjoy the sport on the track will suffer.

I love a powerful diesel truck that belches smoke and pulls a sled. But I'm positive that this stuff on the street doesn't go unnoticed. And believe me...people around like to beeyotch about everything that bothers them.

Scheid can't stop it, the cops can't control it, the fair board can't make people use sense and be respectful when they visit. But they CAN just stop supporting it. No show...no problems. And believe me...the government here would have no problem solving a problem by simply making it go away.

Very well said. I went to school in Vigo county, and believe me, there are many of the folks who have lots of power in the community, that like to keep Terre Haute the small town way.

Saturday after the truck pull was ridiculous, the burnouts, the smoke, etc, etc.

I have a notion next year to sit at the intersection, and just take the keys of every idiot who smokes their tires/blows the smoke.
 
I felt that they ran the pull as well as they could, considering the number of trucks and weather. Tech this year went good i feel like i got treated the same as anyone else there. Now to our trucks, the little truck ran as good as expected, finished 3 and only 3feet behind 1st cant get much closer. The big truck ran very well friday had the lead for by 20 ft for almost the whole class tell the very end. Saturday we goofed up made a few major changes and didnt work in my favor. So thanks again to everyone who made it happen.
I would also like to say even though it was not fair how they didnt compact the track for the first 10-15 trucks, i dont feel it changed the out come considering i was the 8 puller and still qualifed 1st.
