Hey colin,

Congrats on the numbers. I couldn't make it up to LCD, but your truck was the talk of the event. I heard it was a sleeper for sure! Any reason you didn't run sw 8 or 9? Seems you have the fuel for it, and your injectors are not overly large.

can you please show me a common rail that has made more power than Reb? Erick? Tim Barber? all running smarty and 3 highest hp common rails out there and 2 of them are over 1100hp on fuel.
 
if i wanted a 1300 hp truck, i would have it.all i know are facts.dodgethebullet had an 07 with a good amount of mods, almost exactly what i have.when he dynoed, he brought the BD and smarty,the BD was more hp.he posted all the graph's.WERE TALKING 07's here inline6, so your comment on all those other guys means nothing at all.

Wade has been toying with people over on CF that PPE is the chit. Claims, claims, claims but never backing them up with proof. Some think those using the Smarty are just on a bandwagon with the herd because of the cheerleading it gets. Little do they know there's reason for it.

thats pretty much what i was trying to state. yes i support bob and marco heavily but because it works, not just becuase.

Wade is an idiot no doubt, but I know one guy around my parts who ran faster w/ a PPE than the Smarty TNT/r, but he has an 05 not a 07. Dont get me wrong thought Bob's always treated me good and I wont be changing tuners anytime soon, mine rips up to 3500rpm w/ the Beta 4.2, I havent had the TNT/r rollers on the dyno, and I have a late 06, so same programming as the 07.

Thanks! I ran sw7 only because I was a little faster in the quarter with it than when I ran it on sw9. Yeah, I like the sleeper look.:Cheer:
 
I can't wait until we have our own dyno. I wana be able to tune for a few days and get it just right. Should be in by the end of june. Triton you and bh10 are some pretty cool standup guys from what I've seen. Glad yall are sharing your info with me and others. Thank you
 
Its possible to make higher numbers on a weaker tune if you have super big injectors, or limited fuel, slipping trans, traction issues, etc.
 
do you guys think if i went with 373's it would cure my problem, lowering my rpm's enough to cross the traps before it defuels

IMO, 3:73's are the perfect gearing for our trucks, large tires or not if..... you drive it on the road, tow, race or pull. They're also better for mileage. Now if you want a dedicated racer, you may want to size the gears to the tires for peak performance that way you won't be running out of gear. You usually can't have it both ways. 4:10's are good for offroading IMO.
 
im gonna buy my friend's set of 373's with a couple thousand on them.in what way will it affect my times you think

yeh, I can. The ones you name are all 03-04, you seem to have forgot there is an 04.5 + motor. How many of those are that high? But yes, with a smarty. LOL Anyway, back to your thread George

I think 3.73's would be a very good step in the right direction. Put that torque to use.
