SMARTY DEFUELING ON 07''s ISSUE.

On the pulling track? Doubt it, I prolly spank your ass too...$.02

It has become quite obvious that several WELL KNOWN people have given you a response to your question of "Whats wrong with this picture". And yet you still think that there are better responses to be had.

Whatever the situation was that day, (driver error, operator error, dyno error, bad air, truck error, temperature error...etc.) your graph does not reflect the potential of your truck. With 650hp you should be WELL into the 1300lb-ft area, but since you made all your power at high rpm's tourque suffers. If you were to do it again but this time brake boost it or load it however, your TQ WILL RISE.

Bottom line something/someone screewed up that day and you should throw that piece of paper away and re-dyno.

George, if ya want to see what taller tires do, i would be willing to let you run mine down the track, 315 70 17's should put you right around a 3.73 ........ a lot easier to try it with tires than it is with gears, if it works for ya, then you know it will be worth it to swap gears.

what do you suggest for making more power over 90plus mph.and would a set of 20's with slightly bigger tires, like a 265 or 275/60R20 do ....thanks for your help.

Yes I realize that, I'm trying to head to a superflow asap where you dont have to brake boost.

i have a dyno graph from my 07 laying around were i made peak power at 3500 on 3 pulls. guess what tho. the rail pressure relief valve was blowin to the point were when i got home my truck would barely start and idle. it would lope and blow white smoke before i shut it off. i capped it and dynoed the next day and i peaked at 2500-2600 rpms but by 3k i was under 200 hp lol its extreme. iam guna work on getn my head done, cam, springs iam pretty happy with my truck even defueling. i went 13.5 at 99 holding 5th gear across the stripe. which was right at rev limiter but i learned a long while back that if i woulda shifted i woulda mile per houred like crazy but my et woulda suffured. running 3.73's, 37's and a 6speed with a big single

I can honestly say I did that for a 2nd time last weekend.

Did ya forget you were in 6th?

I pulled the pto cover on my trans after about 10,000 miles running oem penzoil. the gears looks brand spanking new. and i did load it up a few times under 2000rpm There was only a tiny tiny bit of metal dust like materal on the magnet that I could scrap off with my fingers. I'm thinking this zembrota rebuilt trans is going to last a while.

i have a 150gph fass, stage 3 cp3, ddp 90hp injectors, turbo, manafold the works, and a smarty with tnt download why would it be throughing high rail pressure codes?

Here is my most recent dyno graph while running TNT/R, lower numbers were with a stock Cp3 and highest were with a 85% from II....on any of them I dont think I see defueling, do you???? And yes i have a 07.

Your graph is defueling or not "full fueling", go back and look at some of the graphs I posted from other year trucks. Your power is as flat a a pancake. I am not saying you should fuel to 4000, but your should be making more power "peaking" then tappering off at a higher highrpm.

Bob has told me Marco realizes this is an issue and when he get his hand on a 07 5.9 he will fix it. No sense in going back and forth "is it or isn't it defueling, because it is.

I am still waiting for a date to take my truck, but it should be soon.

looks like we are going to be heading to the bay area. I will know more next week.

I wouldn't be that concerned

If you have a heart to heart with a dyno operator,... there are many ways to manipulate the result. Point A to point B is what is really happening. There are folks that have great dyno runs but it doesn't translate on the strip,.... you on the other hand have some really nice runs posted. You have what is probably a 7k lb truck that is blowing the doors off of the best new Vette & Viper times so chill unless you plan on getting on some race circuit. Isn't just having an awesome truck enough?

well im happy with my results, being at 700hp. never thought id be there, but if there's more ill take it.bob and marco wouldnt be doing this if there wasnt a problem.but i agree with you OUT OF HERE, beating up on viper's and vett's should be enough lol.

got some new numbers full fueled to 3500 but it could be because it took it a little while to get spooled unsure but heres the dyno graph

good results, nice to see another 2007 5.9 chime in......... lets hope we hear from the results on the west coast soon, and hey, lets invite them to the east coast too !

what are yall guys running for settings on your smarty for dyno? i ran sw9 tq 4 rp 1 timeing 2 speed limiter 200 i had heck keeping rail pressure up even with the new lvl 4 pump any thoughts?

what level 4 pump did you have,i have a stage3 floor it and can hit 26,500 in sw9.if you cant hold sw9 just load sw7.that will definately cure your problem, some people dyno higher in 7.also if you dont have a pressure box, like an mp-8 or edge EZ, that will also do it.

i did 688 on sw7 and mp8 then 700 on sw9 then 708 with the mp8 50% and i was hitting 26k it just had heck when the dyno brake would come on. but when it did light it came to life quick lol ive got a hybrid pump darkside lvl 4 with wicked parts on it
