Sticky VGT.

4 more weeks..ffs sake youll be used to it and not need it by then...but i sure like mine..the exh brake on that cheetah is really good. my trailer is heavy...and the buggy is almost 2500...so probly closer to 25k than not..i think the trailer alne is 13 iirc. it does a great job on the ga hills

There's zero chance I'll be used to not having it...ever. LOL

Our camper is 12,552 lbs dry and it is not a pleasure towing without that extra braking by any means. I'm just hoping it will have enough extra seat of pants power to tell, the brake works better than stock, and honestly...I'd love to have a little more turbo noise. Factory VGT is way too tame.

youll get all that. mines got stock inj too so youll be alot better off tuned and stuff...but mine is a d&j extreme so idk how much that makes a diff but it is cammed and ported..yers is cammed right? THE CHEETEAH is a great swap...

Mines tuned but engine is factory top to bottom with exception of the deletes.

nope..bolt it on ot recalibrates itself..easy. i think i had to cycle the key or something i forget now...

Well, hopefully the old grey beast is bleeding out coolant and other internal fluids this morning. I dropped here off at Titanium Diesel on Saturday for the goodies. Trent is good people. If anyone needs diesel service in Northern Ok, he's in Blackwell.

I'm really interested in hearing what you think of the cheetah when you get it back. My actuator has stopped working, so I've been going back and forth on a new actuator or something drop in like the cheetah

I'll most definitely post results. I went back and forth on just replacing the actuator as well but even with a new one, my turbo would still have 204,000 miles on it. Time for some new iron.

i love the cheetah..brake is strong as fk....doesnt make huge boost numbers but pulls like hell

Well, Cheetah is on, new ail filter, new pre-cleaner cover, new steering box, new power steering lines, new fuel filter, crank case vent filter replaced,....just waiting on an upgraded track bar to deliver today and the tow pig should be ready to travel again. Kinda excited to drive it now. I sure hope the upgrades don't let me down.

Next adventure will be to remove the entire dash and fix the driver's side blend door. That is going to be a bastard. The engineer responsible for that design needs to be castrated with a dull fishing knife. What kind of idiot f-stick puts the actuator between the air box and the firewall?

theres a site for that..blend door .com or some such ****..they make a kit to fix the door an crap from inside the box or something..havent done it but seen it

Blend Door USA gets my recommendation.

Yup. It will get the full metal door upgrade kit from them. I just cringe when I think of all the **** that has to be taken out to do it.

In other news, Trent called. The truck is done but he said it needs rear brake pads. So he's gonna do that this morning as well and adjust the E-brake. The E-brake hasn't ever been right since the frame stretch. I think they added too much cable. It won't hold anything.

Got the tow pig back. Had to sell a liver but it's mine again.

Also needed rear brake pads. It was already on the lift so I said get it done. One wheel seal was out and made a huge mess. The list just keeps going. LOL

As far as the Cheetah, I can honestly say...NOT IMPRESSED. Factory feel so far. I'm praying that the exhaust brake works way better with the big camper next week than it does bobtail because it is hardly there unloaded. I had large hopes the extra spent on a quality aftermarket turbo would pay off and thus far I'm really disappointed.
