Super B Special...first impression

I have the super b special on my manual tranny 12v and it hardly ever barks! Wierd

I pulled my exhaust brake off tonight & looked at the wheel to housing clearance. It fits nice & tight, not sure how your housing worked because it looks like its about to rub on my housing. You must have only needed one swipe with a emery cloth to get yours to fit?:hehe:

I don't understand it at all. The 62 never barked, this one sounds like a pissed off dog. It was better today when I drove it though. I think I need to learn to drive it & I'll be ok. I think I am lifting too hard.
 
Yeah, it was just close enough to kinda keep the wheel from spinning. I think it will get better as you learn to lift a little easier. So is your brother goin to look for another 64. LOL

Maybe. Yeah, my brother already has a deal in the works. He will not let me get ahead of him....this never ends.
 
I drove the truck 30 miles today & I am really liking this charger more & more. I got the barking under control now, not nearly as bad as before. I paid attention to boost reading & I've seen 55psi most of the time. A few times I did see 57psi-58psi. I did a wot run from 35mph to 90mph & only saw 1290*. I am very impressed with this turbo, it is really working well on my truck.
 
Maybe thats just a manual thing because mine lights way quicker at a lower a rpm and it even gets to full boost quicker
 
Manuals usually spool turbos better than an auto but they have the disadvantage of losing boost between shifts.
 
Good to hear you are pleased with the turbo. I figured you'd get the barking under control. LOL
 
Nice.....I knew you would like it!! I got the barking under control as well.......just haven't had a complete wide open run yet since I still have a virgin head. Scared I guess....trying to let the account catch back up right now!!!

With the DDP's I am running now......it is hard to hit 1300 just toying around!
