well i finally got the snuffy installed, and what a pain it was, very long hours were put into this. it wasent the turbo, but the IC pipeing and the down pipe fabing that had to be done, and trying to keep the AC lines on was the biggest obsticle yet.
the manifold i got was a t4 from ATS, it was blank and needed to be ported and drilled and tapped for fitment to be possible, then put together. i couldent belive they wanted more money for a manifold you basically had to build your self.........
anyway after the manifold was complete the turbo was pre clocked and fit pretty well, with the exception of being so heavy it was no problem. it fit on the manifold like a charm.
now the rest was very stressfull, as i was only sent a exhaust ring i had to make it work, wewent thru a few ideas between me, rob , and james and finnally got it right today. it was all 5" from the turbo all the way back, and the fire wall is right in the way, along with the AC lines and batterey box. ect
i called intakehoses.com and got the IC piping i needed, just a few cuts here and there and i was in bussiness.
but im still trying to figure out how to get a filter on this thing, or at least get it vented away from the charger---theres no room at all, just an alternator, like 5 inches away.........
i'll take a few pictures and show you guy what im talking about.
i started it up and all is good, sounds WAYYYYYYYYY cool, even at just 1500rpm turbo is whistleing very nicely, and the truck has throttle responce that is faster than before, and hardly any smoke. i will drive it on monday or tuesday, and see if it was worth it all...... let me get some pics for you!:rockwoot:
