Truckers, lets see your rigs!

I've heard the E-logs are easy to cheat and No one questions them. Never heard the details thought.
I don't know if E-log is the same as our digital tachographs but there are ways to do it. Of course there's a risk to get caught especially if you do it the wrong time in the wrong place. Most common way lately has been to just slap a small magnet to the side of the speedsender that makes it nonfunctional, not recording speed or driving time. Too bad every cop knows it these days because some idiots did 140 km/h on the motorway where limit is 90, wonder why they caught attention ?

1990 379 36 inch bunk converted to a unibilt. 265 wheel base, 3406b, 13 speed, 3.55 gears, I'm 3rd owner the guy retired and owned it 15 years. It's got a ton of paperwork and has a marine cam, marine injectors, pdi intercooler. Idk what turbo is on it but it's pretty big. The headache rack, toolboxes are already off. The stacks are about 18 inches shorter and all the lettering is off. The only thing I don't like is the frame lengthening it's about 17 years old and is rust jacking bad. It will go under the knife this winter to fix it.

Just to clarify a bit of misinformation you were given, with a mechanical cat there is no such thing as a marine cam, the cam that was used in most of the high HP mechanical was available in every truck engine up until the last generation 8PN.

Marine nozzles are a possibility, but most likely if it were a true 425 it would have had the biggest nozzle available that matched the piston bowl, and going to a marine nozzle either meant they went to a nozzle for a C series which creates its own issues with pump wear or they actually put a smaller nozzle in it.

That may even be the shorter version, there are three lengths with the 359 and the shortest only worked with V8s I think.

I'm just going by what I was told I'm not a 3406 expert by any means. All I know is it runs good has a lot of power and gets decent fuel economy so I really don't care what cam is in it.

I dig short hoods and a 36" bunk. There's something about a KW (W900A or B) or a 359 short hood and a 36" bunk. They just look so tough.

I almost bought a '68 Tras Star 400 Log truck for a 5th wheel puller, was a 8v71 10+4 .. Seemed to run real nice and it was unusually clean ( not leaking oil) , 1500 was a steal but I just couldnt come up with cash quite fast enough , Bummer!!
