Truckers, lets see your rigs!

Picked up a 1990 379 today that's got a 36 inch bunk converted to a unibilt.

There, that's a little better. Sharp truck for a pete.

Very nice looking! In for the specs as well.

I want to know how this "unibilt hole" is done, my 359 needs it

Here's one of the sound clips that got me hooked on the 903

And there is some good n/a sound halfway through this vid

Any kind of reliability with the 903's? I have t heard much about them, but what I have heard first thing I hear is "Nine-oh-nothin'"

Great American Truck Racing-group on Facebook has some stories about 903 Cummins engines built for racing. I remember some racer said they spinned them over 4000 rpm no problem.

Took this last winter in Russia, mine is far left, there's something for you americans also..

The turbo guy I talked with a few years back had a big hand in building trucks for the old truck racing circuit. They were very fond of the 903 in that setting.

I wonder how one would pull. Especially compared to an 855. I wouldn't think a 903 wouldn't pull well being a V8, but then again the Mack's pull well. But the 903 is 95 cubes less than the E9.

They probably do well in racing because they turn so many RPMs. I can't imagine a V8 like that would make the torque an inline 6 would.

There is a reason they weren't in OTR trucks very long. But Id be fun to play with.

Stroke plays into that a lot, the 998 is 5 3/8" bore and 5 1/2" stroke. The 903 is 5 1/2" bore and only 4 3/4" stroke.

One of my students brought his 89 379 up this week. We're having a show in Saturday.

3406c and a 9 over. Sharp truck though. Shouldn't shock anyone he's from the 717.

How common are peterbilts over there?
Peterbilts and Kenworths are not very common because they are too expensive for what you get. They import mostly Freightliners and Internationals, most truck for the money.

Bmodel cat, 13 speed. Saw where he posted on bookface.

A few nice rigs from the races in Ennis, TX last weekend. Rich has seen most of these as I kept texting them to him. LOL Pretty sure I took more pictures of big trucks than I did of little ones.
