Truckers, lets see your rigs!

It came to me this morning, the SDP block can't be an equivalent block because the oil cooler is recessed into the water jacket.

You can search the block number 267-4631 yourself that is listed for the SDP truck engines and it has 400 matches in the SIS search.

It was the tier 4 interim on Highway 15l in production from 06 to 09.

I will look into it at work tomorrow, but the SDP block wouldn't be backwards compatible.
It would make sense if it were used for tier 4 off Highway applications because the recessed oil cooler allowed the packaging of an egr cooler where the oil cooler once lived.

There are a few matches listed as 3406E descriptions, I saw the C15 marine engine as well which is similar to a 6nz except for the fresh water cooling.

Looked at this sweetheRt today. 93 kW w900l. Series 60 Ddec 2 12.7l engine with 1.4 mil km on truck and 900 k on the engine.

The problems

Bunk bags wouldn't fill, frame needs paint job, rad needs to be done, coolant metal lines are corroded, bunk bag support rotten, needs clutch, need all 8 bags and drive tires, bunk to cab rubber is cracked. Hasn't worked for 10 years. Interior in good shape.

What ha guys think? I was told it was Ddec 3 and when I showed up I noticed it was a 2. The truck also rode kinda rough to what I thought it would. Is there a way to add cab air bags to the truck as well? Let me know what ha like or think thanks

I always like the aero 1's. What do you mean "cab air ride"?

Love aero ones but wouldn't touch a DDEC 2.

There's not really that much difference from a 2 to a 3. What's the hp rating?

Blocks match. The cooler changed. The LEE is the recessed oil cooler.

We have a C18 crank in our LEX store for $ 9502
Upgrade to new is 8400

What don't you like about a 2? That's a big hang up for me as well. I don't know much about them.

Hp is 450. I just ran it bob tailed and it's hard to tell power wise what it has. My truck now is ddec 4 an I thought 3 & 4 for the same just different processors. I thought 2 was much different. I would like to know what's different.

When I went to look my intentions were to drop a reman in immediately. But after seeing other issues and estimating 15k roughly of other stuff to have it running down the road it kinda put me off.

If it hasn't work for 10 years I my self would be very leery of paying $10,000. Like you said you need that much plus more after you get it home. Hell tires are going to be $5,000 if you go with new.

I can't comment on the Detroit. The only thing I know about them is they're green.

I've got Detroit schematics at home. I can tell you exactly what the 3/4 has over the 2 this afternoon when I get home. I know it has more sensors.

I talked to a guy this morning from Antrim and he said it was a guy in Ohio building rods to match a c15 crank to work with c18 pistons/liners. He's suppose to be getting me his info.

The cab has 4 solid mounts to frame at the moment. Wondering if there is a kit to connect bunk and cab together and then have the cab be air ride with bunk

One problem is the lack of this kind of truck up here. I am wanting a w900l and the black diamond interior is nice. I offered 7000 an he wouldn't budge on 10.
