what causes bounce

Well, I finally had a pull last night with no bounce. After watching my videos, I decided to go 60psi in the rear tires & drop my hitch to 24". I pulled at West Overton [Westmoreland pull] which only had 2 classes, Open Diesel or Stock street. The guys I usually pull with decided to run the stock class & it was a no weight class. I stayed with the big dogs & got to hang 400#. I should have stayed in the stock class. LOL Atleast I didn't bounce. Seems like dropping my hitch was a bad idea, it just didn't feel the same last night.
