What would be the Best twin kit for my 12v

Ok the trans is out.
I'm getting a joker fab twin piping set up that was made to run a gt4202 and a s300.
The question is should i run the gt4202 74-102/1.15 AR T6 1550cfm with the super b special 64/71/14 CFM 1160?
Or should I look to get a S475 with that set up? Any ideas I'm ready to be flogged if this is a poor decision.

the 4202 and 475 are very similar in performance, but the 4202 is 2x the cost.

If the gt4202 is v band t6 will I be able to plug a s475 in to the piping?
It I want faster spool time and 650 - 700 hp what s475 would be best?
I looked on your site at piping and that s475b but I would need the piping in time to tune before mar 22nd.

I cant vouch for fitment of anyone elses piping. but the turbos are nearly the same dimensions.
475b spools quick. piping kits avg 3 weeks from payment to ship date.

If you're trying to make the March 22nd NHRDA race, I'd continue with the transmission work so you can actually launch hard (97mph should be 13.8 range with a 4x4 boosted launch). Many trucks have ran low 12's and high 11's with your current turbo. It won't last forever when pushed that hard, but it is capable of the required air flow. In fact, Bponci hit 10.76 with a Super B Special on his purpose built 4x4 single cab Ram drag truck.

I would upsize your injectors from the current 5x.011" to 5x.014" or even better 5x.016" run well on 12 valves with 64mm S300's. Since you have those upgraded delivery valves, you're probably going to run a little warm on the top-end.

For timing, you really need to bump it up to about 26*, it will help with both horsepower and exhaust temps.

For fuel pressure, your cheapest option is to add a Walbro 392 on a separate filter and feed it to the front port of the injection pump. I'd put it on a toggle switch and only run it at the track or dyno or whenever you need big HP. You'd likely also want to add a check valve to the feed line from the current lift pump so the Walbro doesn't backfeed your current pump if its pressure and flow exceeds the current pump.

Later when you have more time, start playing with a twin/compound turbo setup. Your best bet for spoolup would be to sell the 64mm and go smaller say 58-60mm for the manifold charger and compound it with a GT4202, S475, or whatever you come across for the right price.

Thanks for the all the advice every one. Today I got a FASS 240gph ordered and used turbo piping in the mail so its on to the charger. I think I'll use a S-475 possibly 1.32ar. I'm thinking that I would like to run the twins mar 22 and then I'll have time to tune every thing as far as I can go with the 75 sticks that are in it. I will need to have the p pump bench flowed but not till after Bakersfield.
I may want to use a quicker spooling turbo down the road but for now the super b will be my test set up. I think I'm about to find out what kind of hp I can squeeze out of a set of 75s ha ha.

I'd go for injectors first, and timing as BigBlue said. I don't see how twins will do you any good with out more fuel. Your not using the air you have. Won't be any different, well maybe slower spool up:bang

Not trying to be a dick but it seems like you ignored much of the advise given, especially from Blue and he's one I would listen to.

So this is a pic of the trans all apart. Billet band, red clutches, shift kit, 3 disk rebuild, and billit input.

I do know that my injectors are small for what I'v got coming but I'm going to tune it the best I can with the 75's and move up when I have the cash for some 5x16s. I will bump the timing up a little and turn my fueling up as far as i can with my set up.

After all the new parts I was unable to build boost no matter what i did tuning. just smoke and only 30lbs that was it no matter what... turns out i blew the intake manifold gasket at 50 lbs. So I ran it at the drags with the current tuning set up and it did 13.71 @ 98mph. the trans tv cable was freaking out and it didn't go in to over drive so I floated some valves but some times stuff sticks when your truck has 245000 miles on it. another day i guess. oh I ran with the super b still and with 45 lbs of boost due to finding the boost leak then fixing it just before i put it on the trailer with no time to tune.

If you're trying to make the March 22nd NHRDA race, I'd continue with the transmission work so you can actually launch hard (97mph should be 13.8 range with a 4x4 boosted launch).

So its crazy that is what you said before the drags because I ran a 13.71 @ 98mph for my best pass of the day. I may someday want to go with a 3in lift and loose the 6.

Update I got maxspool push rods in the truck. I was thinking of selling my 64/71/14 and going with a 62/65/14 phat shaft. Any thoughts on this with the s400?

This is the setup that I had sent to me used :badidea:.
If some one is going to read this that is looking for piping I have one thing to recommend. Buy a new setup that will come with all parts bolts, hoses, lines, fittings, ect. Its worth the money to pay a little more up front and not take 1000 trips to the store to figure it all out. :nail:
other then that the pipes fit ok down pipe was not the best.

Yeah Mat and Evan got it all put in with me on Tuesday. Mat knocked a hole in the oil pan to put on the source oil drain tube. So far so good no leaks. Then we test fit and clocked the secondary.

Test fit and clock the s475. There was a little trouble with the a/c unit line and some clearance with the fender. So after hammering and bending all was well with nothing rubbing.

Then had some oil lines made because one of the lines that came with the piping came up short, replaced some of the boots that came in the kit with my ddp boots. Shot some super sweet paint on the piping before the install (red spray paint).

That was just about it. the turbos went in and out 3 times to insure fitment as well as clocking. had some lines made bent some metal and then it all just about fit.
Ok the only other advice I have is to test fit the down pipe with all parts snug. we did test fit the pipe however with all the parts bolted down all the way it now was touching the fire wall. So beating the fire wall with the porter power with out hitting the 475 was not so easy. I used a quick spear like stabbing motion :lolly: and put lots of heat wrap on it before the install.
