which turbo? s465 or a s366?

haha..im getting a little confused also. the s465 is the 64x95 comp wheel, 74x83 turbine and .9 t4 a/r housing. and the s366 is basically the same a the SB. the on that i am looking at any ways. it has two housing one is a .88 nongated t4 from ED and the other is a t3 gated housing from ED.

so 64mm inducer...whats the 95 stand for? and 74mm exducer...whats the 83 stand for? Sorry for the newb question

s300g, 57mm ett wheel, (57/65/.80) made about 40psi of boot spin the tires a bit in 3rd, lit by 1400 rpm. 61lb/min

s464, 63.5mm non ett wheel, (64/74/.90) made 65psi of boost, would RAPE the tires in 4th, lit around 2000-2100 rpm. 64lb/min

also, the out of the box s464 non ett wheel is a 64/92, the only 2 s465's i know of is a 65/95 ETT and bullseye's 65/101 (or something like) this is the 90lb/min wheel that everyone says they have when in realitly they have an s464 or s464. this wheel is $500 from bullseye

65x110 IIRC correctly is the bullseye wheel.

ok. i am looking for something similar to the HT 66/71/14 at a cheaper price. i think the s366 i am looking at would be a good one, considering it compares to a SB. and the silver bullet usually does pretty good from what i hear. im just wondering with the cam that i have maybe i could deal with the s465.
i dont want to run out of air on the top end though going down the track. the 66/71/14 i used to have i think did an awesome job.

dude, you need to just buy a turbo.

s366, especially with the t4 housing will do 800 horse

800 horse with alot of air? what the top end part gonna be like? and with the 6x18s?

the 64/71/14 indicates a 64mm compressor inducer, 71mm turbine exducer and a 14cm turbine housing. You will also often see the housing size listed as an A/R ratio.

Thanks for the link white night...it makes sense now. I knew the traditional turbo sizes but the extra two numbers were confusing me. thanks again

an s366 is sounding like a winner.

sounds like it to me, if it was summer and i was working i would buy that s366 that your considering. Its a pretty good deal, and it would spool alot sooner then my s400/k31 hybrid does. I can deal with it lighting around 2000rpm especially with 4.10's.

sweet, what i have is more like an s471, in the sense that i have a 71mm inducer, not sure what the other wheels are but they are all billet, and so is the impeller shaft. and i have a fairly large exhaust housing too. i think pius said it was an .88

If they both move the same amount of air and you don't care about spool up the question becomes would you rather have a s300 base or a s400 base for pulling?
