which turbo? s465 or a s366?

have any of you tested a t-4 74/83 and the 80/87 turbine (s400) back to back?

tia

ps - mostly curious about behavior in a small twin set and plz list which housing it was in 1.10 or 1.25

I ran both, but only ran the 80/87 on the last hook of the year, so I don't have a lot of back to back data, but I the results weren't negative. Spool up was similar, but it wasn't on the 1.10 or 1.25 housing. This was on a 3.0 single. To top it off my data logger had timed out so I didn't catch a log of the drive pressure.

If I have the bone stock BW s465 w/ non-ETT wheel and I make 65lbs/min, how much would that change running that 65/110mm wheel from Bullseye? I assume the cover would have to be recontoured, or a new Bullseye cover used, right?

Not always the case.

Hmm I didn't know that, with the stainless housings can you go smaller? Or even cast?

Red Dodge you keep getting advise to run 66mm s300, Thats a proven turbo for similar mods it seems. If you are really determined on an S400 maybe we can work a deal out in a month or so...

i cant beleive the S465 only flows 65lbs.min and the BD super b special (64mm) flows 80lbs/min

first off the bd super b doesnt flow 80lb/min it flows 75, for some reason BD thinks putting their name on it makes it flow more.

the NON ett s400 does flow less than an ett s300

edit, you also have to remember the flow ratings are for the compressor WHEEL, not for the turbo.

the smaller a/r of the s300's compressor housing limits its potential, also the size of the turbine housing/wheel will also effect performance, more than just spool up.

So what would an ETT S465 flow? I talked to Chris last night and I'm set on the ED(469)

right on

what turbine/ex housing you gonna run behind it?

ps - what type of time frame did he mention?

I'm gonna run the s469 ETT wheel, 69/83/.90
I sold my current one already
