Why are pulling hitches so expensive?

Maybe Im just jealous then. :D.

Im building my new hitch to the new specs.

But I wouldnt be surprised if some sleds switch the hooks for brush pulls.

The little safety feature on the end of the hook isnt going to make those pulls much safer. At some of those pulls theres no required kill switchs, cheap hitches and inexperienced drivers.
 
I ended up just buying a class V 6" drop hitch and flipping it over to give me a 5" rise. I put on a big twisted shackle and it worked out great for me. only one pull so far on the setup but everything still looks good. only cost me about 50.00

Build your own. I sure am glad there is beer and good friends and skills.
 
had a 3" opening on my hitch and the new sled we was hooked to would not work with any thing less than 3 1/2".
