Why do I need to adjust my valves every 200 miles???

Yes. TDC will allow you to check half the valves and BDC will allow you to check the other half. You want the motor as cold as possible.

TDC Cylinder # 1 In + Ex, 2 In, 3 Ex, 4 In, 5 Ex
BDC Cylinder # 2 Ex, 3 In, 4 Ex, 5 In, 6 In+Ex

I would be happy to but I may be swapping my girlfriend's clutch out (got really noisy for some reason) so I gotta do that but if not I'll give ya a hollar.

I just read an article on dtr. Looks simple. Now I just need a topside creeper to reach #5 and #6!!!!

I was thinking. I've already lashed the valves and it keeps doing it. So I guess I just need to write down which cylinder it's on and if it's more or less lash? So I can try to diagnose the problem? I'm gonna buy some new nuts incase it's that. Has anyone else had issues with gregs billet rods? I know they are shaped a lil different on the ends then stockers. Could that be messing it up?

Find a sheet of glass and roll the pushrods across it. You'll be able to hear if any of them are bent.

Just go ahead and buy a cam bus. You know you've been looking for an excuse LOL.

Man Tyler, you are piming cam's like they are the coolest thing you've found since gay porn:hehe::hehe:

Scott- Get a drywall bench from Home Depot or Lowes to reach 5 & 6 if you don't have the coin for a topside creeper right now.

no money Tyler. Seriously. I'm struggling to have fuel to get to justins wedding.

I am open to cam sponsorships tho. Zach, my pm box is open! Lol

Don't feel alone...checking mine is on my list of stuff to do tonight.
I figure I might as well since all the other crap is off the motor getting powdercoated.
Although....reaching 5 and 6 on mine just means I bend over a bit more.

Lowered trucks FTW ! LOL

uh huh :kick:

vlv lash is easy.

you can grab the alt nut and ratchet the motor over that way (goes backwards) remote triger start to bump the motor over with ign off.

Only reason I can afford to go is because I live 25 miles away.

This correct for a 24v, but on a CR after you do the # 1 In + Ex, 2 In, 3 Ex, 4 In, 5 Ex, you spin the crank 360 degree's not 180 like the 24v, on the # 2 Ex, 3 In, 4 Ex, 5 In, 6 In+Ex, IIRC.
