Truckers, lets see your rigs!

Friend of mine that's a Pete man has a 379 (that's down) another Pete and then he just bought a Volvo.

The sticker was not centered on the crack. Had you placed it properly it would have held the frame together

I honestly have nothing against them, they have lots of room inside and they seem to be nice for drivers. They're just not for me.

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2

They do ride nice and are extremely quiet inside but my biggest gripe is the empty weight. It has almost 3k more than the Pete.

Essentially I may just have to say F it... My age screws me. Everybody laughs at a kid looking to getting into trucking.

Come talk to me... I got my break at 20 years old by someone that belived in me. I think u have what it takes, if u want to pull a skateboard u will have a home.

I just don't think it's gonna happen around here. I'm not gonna give up totally but probably have to shift my concentration to more logical jobs.

Just more stuff to go wrong, and maybe these days if all these school boys had to learn on a truck that they actually had to change gears in it would maybe weed out some of the people that should have never been allowed to get behind the wheel on their own.

Winner winner chicken dinner!

Anyone running the auto transmission? When I was talking to the kw salesman he said they are good. Any input?
That salesman needs to go sell kias

Getting a class a isn't hard. Amazing people Have to cheat on there tests ! But I don't know how you guys do it. The trucks now are just unreliable and not what it used to be with logs and all

Was just curious the parents newmar Rv does pretty good with the 600hp cummins. I know it's no where near the weight of a semi loaded down. He also said the t880 won't be ready until October kinda sucks.

I realized I sounded kinda like a volvo nutswinger, so let me say I by no means like it any better over any other nosegrinder truck it's just what I bought. And I definately agree with the motivation part. Mine is in the form of a 2000 Pete 378 sitting in my yard. By the time I get it on the road (hopefully in a month or two) I'll have 20k in a basically rebuilt truck that should bring 30 if I'd sell it.
Drive whatever makes you happy and makes you $$$. However IMO if i can't raise the hood and see all 6 cyl I'm not buying it. Last think I want is a greasy ass mechanic doing engine work from INSIDE the cab. Buddy was doing a head gasket on a guys Sterling dumptruck. Truck was a POS anyway but one of his guys was sitting on the floor inside the truck guiding the head when they sat it back on.

Here is the new 2 cyl Cummins ISX in a Prostar. I'm only guessing it's a 2-cyl since that's all you can see. I've seen trucks after a head on crash that didn't shove the motor back that far. :nail:

How do people cheat? The test is pretty much cut and dry. Either you know the material for the pre trip and can drive or you don't.

You really think that these company run schools that do their own testing are as strict as the local state run testing centers? Remeber that the companies are forking over the money to get those people trained and tested, so if they fail a student then they have lost money.

I like working on this freightliner classic we picked up, you can take out the transmission bell housing bolts and the shifting tower bolts from under the hood.
