6.7 cummins in a 2nd gen

Any specific reason you decided to use that humongous 6" pipe on it?

More volume, 4" isn't enough, there's no options be 4-6", and I don't have a way to form a flat sheet of stainless to curve.

I'm sort of replicating the ZZ runner CR intake which uses the same diameter pipe.

Got quite a bit done, overall this has been a fun project. Wish I had an established fab job like HSP diesel or WC Fab ETC.

About 85% done with the standalone 5.9 harness.

FCA
Cam sensor
Crank sensor
Rail sensor
Boost sensor
Inlet air temp
Throttle
ObdII
Power
Ground

Any reason in particular you kept the air intake temp, MAF? I just did the same for my other truck and now I'm worried I've cut too much. I'm assuming there's something better behind running them instead of just shutting them down in EFI?

I only kept the,

Crank sensor
Cam sensor
Fan
Cp3 FCA
Rail sensor
Injector harness
Oil pressure sensor
MAP

IAT/BARO sensor is used for fueling, I'm pretty sure it's needed.

I kept both of those plugs for the two sensors on the air intake.

Les should I use a 6.7 map sensor or the 5.9? I got the 6.7 bung to weld into my intake but I can't remember if it could be rescaled or not.

Still deciding 4" or 6"...

I feel like 6" is a little to big.. Just my opinion tho

Got everything trimmed out and cleaned with super clean and a pressure washer. Looking like 96 again... Well almost.

Next goes in new 37spline d80 axles and spool, front cad delete and upgraded chromoly shafts and possibly an e-locker.

Since you're going to pull and race, what will be the tire/wheel setup for each event?

Got some goods today, thanks to Dan Vallance (valair1) , and Troy Miller (Cumminspuller01)

Intake is about complete, almost ready to weld the front end on, and place the MAP sensor bung. Not sure whether to make clearance to access the factory rail feed inlet or just cap it off.

I'll be using a Y block to feed the front of the rail from the CPN5 then feed the back side with a cp3.

The 6" looks awesome. May not be necessary or gain you anything but it looks damn cool! Nice fab work.

Thanks guys, it was a fun project, I would build another if anyone was interested.

I'm hoping it fits :hehe: after doing some research and getting advice I decided to extend past the last and first runner 3" to help reduce turbulence. Haisleys made changes after #1 and #6 rings were getting toasty.

Intake

:pop: that turned out looking sharp. This is yet another example of why I am hooked on Competition Diesel, there is a lot of can-do mixed with talent supported by knowledge.

Don't suppose you have a wiring diagram for the C2 connector?
