What paint did you use on the frame? Looks great
Any emergency/parking brake plans? These trucks definitely need better brakes, I'm shooting for hydro boost one of these days.
Really Nice Job! Fixin to roll my '87 F800 P pumper in shop for paint and such. Hope it looks half as good!! Does "Mr worthless input" understand why its a Beast and not a Feast??
Have a pattern for the brake parts? I hate my brakes and really need to do some upgrades.
The best thing I did on my 95 was put a cab and chassis dually rear axle under it because it had wider brake shoes. This truck has the best OE type brakes out of any OBS ford I've driven. i was really surprised. The next best one is my brother's 92 that we put a D80 in with the chevy wheel cylinders. It really stops nice with a load too.
Everything is turing out great on this truck. You do awesome work. keep the photos coming.
Its looking pretty good.
I'm interested to see where the AW mounts position the engine in the OBS's. I'm not too pleased with the ones I got from them for the EX. IMO the engine is too far back and too dang high. Guess that's how it goes, I should have just made my own instead of getting in a hurry. LOL
This looks awesome great work, My first truck was an 1986 Ford F-150 too. I wish I kept it to do something similar. I cannot believe the time and dedication into this project. Good luck! Again looks awesome!
I placed an order with destroked for the ex mounts, but they were back ordered and after 2 weeks I just called AW. That's weird that Destroked said to call AW. I wonder if they're going to stop production on the older stuff and just offer the newer stuff? Or they must be really busy.
I'll be interested to see how these mount up too. I wanted destroked mouts cause they positioned the engine perfectly in my king ranch but when I called them for this truck they said call autoworld. The diesel conversion specialists mounts looked like cheap garbage. I guess I coulda made my own too, hopefully these work well LOL
