Non-Gated Compounds

Have you seen the ports on the T4 x .83 for the 68mm turbine?

They are ssssssssmmmmmmmaaaaaaaallllll.

I understand this to be the case on the non-gated housing. It is not the case on the internally gated .83 t4 housing. The ports are the same size as your standard t4 gasket.

My non gated .83 looks like a regular t4. Needed just as much blending as my .91.

Thanks guys for the clarifications. I talked to my friend tonight and he said he would like to have my turbo, but needs to save money. So I bet that's another guy off the list that wanted it until it's for sale. I'm just gonna save a few bucks and get a cam first and seeing it improves.

You could always make a custom wastegate like this if your not afraid to chop and weld a little bit :D

I prefer to do this instead.

That's the general idea I was getting at, the pic I posted was just the first I found.
Or you could always cut a hole in your exhaust manifold and put a waste gate on it, as long as you make sure to get all cylinders and not just half

Tha is, the waste-gate part of the build doesn't bother me as much a charger selection and cam profiles. I'm working on a limited budget.

Here is what I have for pictures right now.

Isn't the gated .83 a dt466 turbine housing?

The entire turbo is offered as an upgrade replacement for the dt466 oem turbo from what I gather. As far as the turbine housing, it is a standard t4, shares the same dimensions as far as flange and ports as any other of the t4 s300 or s400 turbos i've had.
