1967 RS Duramax Camaro

My bet is tow hooks. Something for a truck to hook onto if you go off the track into the gravel pits. Douchey honda kids around town think it's badass to have them on the backs of their civics in bright anodized-looking colors

looks like someone ate curb or something on the valance...

deffinetly badass

Happened with the previous owner on the track. We're painting 3 of them in case it happens again.

ERMERGERD... This thread is full of muscle win.

--Eric

I appreciate everyones patience, I have so much to get done on the weekends besides the Camaro that I have to update after the weekend...

This is one of my favorite builds going on now. Love that style of car...

Thanks, and I'm glad you like it. It's my all time favorite muscle car by far.

I moved the motor into my work space friday after work, but couldn't do anymore because of dinner plans.

Saturday morning, started taking it apart and cleaning it.

After cleaning and prepping it the best I could, I masked off what needed to go black.

1366686675_zpsd48d8cf1.jpg

Then etched it.

1366686709_zps890e160b.jpg

And sprayed the satin black.

That's it for now, not a lot to report, but it was a lot of work believe it or not.

More parts are on the way, so things are moving forward.:rockwoot:

Are you going to clear those lines and rails to keep them looking nice? I'm really enjoying following your build.

I wasn't planning on clearing them. I believe the rails are stainless steel, which holds a polishing extremely well, and the injection lines seem to have some kind of aluminized coating, and aluminum holds a polish pretty well too, so I'm going to leave them as is, and if they need to be shined up later down the road it's not hard to hand polish them again.

Head studs should be showing up tomorrow so once I install those I can reassemble most of the motor and see how good it looks. Also waiting on tranny parts so I can get it built. Might be able to work on it this Sunday, so I need to make a game plan... So much to do with not a lot of time.
