2 Stroke Oil

I run PS in the silver bottle and 16oz of the walmart brand 2 stroke oil.

Another one that NEED to read over the HFRR testing on additives...:hehe:
The link is just above ya...

I notice that you have the Diesel Kleene formula listed for Power Service, what about the "regular" stuff in the white jug? I can see a cleaner type additive not giving the lubrication of the "normal" stuff.

Just wondering, and thanks for dropping by!!!

I ran the white bottle for a long time, then switched to RBP, both do alright I guess.

Both products are suppose to have "SlickDiesel" added t othe product... :hehe:

Not a problem.. My server shows are the site that are link to me so I take advanatage of it and come and visit the different forums..

My truck got a LOT quieter when I started adding a quart of 2cycle oil per tank!! Oh... yeah I might have something to do with taking the stack off at the same time. haha

but I did actually see an straight up 1.8mpg increase with the oil!... I lost 1.8mpg when the winter blend hit the pumps and I started adding oil and it put my mileage right back on track!

I wonder how much 2-stroke affects the new systems? Could it plug a DPF?

Any 2-stroke oil will work or are there any specifics? I've been running Diesel Kleene whenever I remember to pour it in...

I run the cheapest stuff I can find, which is currently the wally world brand in a gallon jug. If you look at the chart Mopar Man has up on his site you'll see that ANY oil is an improvement over plain jane ULSD.

I have been using for the 2 stroke for more lubricity for my vp but noticed a little clean up in smoke as well and quieting effect we will call it!

I have to say''I AM A BELIEVER''. I started running 2 stroke in my truck last tank. I put about 35-40 ounces in a full tank. I left the truck running while filling, and I kid you not I could hear when the oiled fuel hit the VP. The truck seemed to idle slightly smoother. I'm that guy that hasn't turned on his radio since buying a CTD. I make my own music with my right foot and I like to listen for any changes in tone. I could tell a difference. Then I read the new thread on here and wow, 2 stroke ups the HFRR 162 at about $1 per tank. Would have liked to see them test with a heavier blend, though.
Moparman---I apoligize for not believing, the new thread seals the deal with me simply because it was unbiase towards products tested.
You know what you are talking about and I applaud you for sharing your info. with everyone.

I notice more smoke with the 2 stroke additive. But it did smooth out my idle a bit. And if it helps longevity on anything from my Holley Blue to the VP, I think it is worth it. If you really want to make some smoke, add 1 gallon of 2 smoke oil to the tank!

If you really get crazy, buy some cinnamon oil, people must get weird looks on their faces when I smoke them out and they get cinnamon or vanilla scent from the gallon of scented lamp kerosene in the tank. Concentrated cinnamon candy flavoring is the definitely the strongest scent agent, but it is expensive.

I just run the local B20 for smell, since it's made from fish, beef and poultry renderings the odor tends to be rather unique LOL

i just tryed this in my truck and i cant beleave it but the thing is so much quieter now under the hood

What types and brands of two stroke oil is everyone else running?

I've been buying the Valvoline stuff designed for motorcycles, just because it says that it is designed to pass through injectors.

I usually go 1-2oz per gallon.

I wouldn't worry...

If it passes the fuel filter fine... Then it got to pass the edge filter before it gets to the injectors...

Quoted From Dodge's Factory Service Manual (2nd Gen VP44 and 3rd Gen CR)

Each fuel injector connector tube contains an edge filter (Fig. 13) that breaks up small contaminants that enter the injector. The edge filter uses the injectors pulsating high-pressure to break up most particles so they are small enough to pass through the injector.

I'll put it to you this way, if I could find a 5 gallon bucket labeled "El Cheapo Two Stroke Oil" that was $2 cheaper than the "Cheapo Two Cycle Oil" on the shelf next to it, I'm buying the El Cheapo brand :D I really don't think it matters that much, if it meets at least one manufacturer's service requirement it'll work.

I fear that 'cheapo' stuff. I burned up an Ecco blower and a Stihl chainsaw using that cheap stuff. One day and 500 bucks later...I don't use it anymore. If it can trash those little motors in ONE DAY I would be hesitent to put it in my 10k Diesel motor.
