We are also going to need some volunteer tech's that have experiance in teching vehicle's that are going to cheat. Anyone that want's to volunteer to tech these truck's can PM me or Jeff. No cheating will be tolerated. If you are caught you will certainly be thanked for your contribution of 500.00 to the racer's pot, and it might wind up costing you 25000.00. So ahead fella's and take it to the ragged edge............just don't get caught. Gary
 
I can smell a cheater from 10 feet away.
Too bad you said volunteer techs. I promised myself after joining the Navy that I would never do that again.LOL
 
I will be there to watch. As much as I like to race, my 8900 pound 400hp truck just won't cut it without spray.

predict a Dmax will win it, and the top of the field will be Dmax trucks. I predict that the entire field will be CR type engines whether it’s Dmax Cummins of 6.4 fords.
I will also predict that this will be so for the top 25% of the entire field
 
David already said there may be another race later on for other trucks. Maybe heavier with twins ?

I'm not *****ing. I'm merely saying that the "common truck" from what I understand is the goal is to be the average guy (like and me) here isn't going to be common with a 6000# min and a 2.6 charger. :) there's no way you or me could be competitive with out first making use of a sawzaw. The dedicated race trucks will.

Maybe it's the choice of words I've latched on to and won't let go of :)

It's a hell of an idea. I can't wait to see all the videos in a few months!
 
besides a vendor row are ya gonna have a dzl only truck show or somethin else goin on to keep everyone busy during downtime and for the guys that wanna come and meet each other from these forums that dont race

as i read the rules this is all heads up racing right...so the best footpedal leaver will go far despite being slower..won a lotta races footbraking being the slower car

I'm shopping for a truck to build right now. Will be right at 6000 lbs give or take a few and a dedicated DD. Single cab F250 cut down to a short bed with my motor and trans in it with a few new mods.
If I get it done by then I'll throw on my 478, bush it down to 2.6 and go have some fun then put the twins back on after.

I said that to Dalpilot a while back when he asked for a class specifically for his truck and he jumped my ass!!:lolly::hehe::hehe:

Watching with great interest to see if the racers like the idea of paying for the purse themselves.

It was tried on a smaller scale last year or the year before and went no where. If it works, I'll throw it at pullers, to see what happens.

I have the upmost respect for all of you and your opinions... You guys will help me learn even more about all this Tech stuff as well as the Cheating thing!! It's just not in my nature to Cheat so I guess I need to learn how to spot it..

But I will say this...As far as I'm concerned, A "Cheater" is just as bad as a "Criminal" in my book!!!!

If you cheat and take any part of that $50,000 home when it should have gone to someone else, well then you're a Criminal in my book!!

I'd like to ask CompD to support my idea that if someone does get caught cheating and they are a member here, that they even be Banned for a while...If not indefinately!!

This race and Idea behind it is PURE and without Greed of any kind!!
I am Pleading and Beging for all of you to realize this and play by the rules...

This is supposed to be Fun Folks.... Lets let everyone have that fun!!!

Gamblers race. Happens all the time. What is cool is you only have to qualify to come out a winner. I suspect there are more than a hundred guys that think they can do this at least. Sounds fun.

so a 10 sec truck could be running a 12 sec truck heads up...

on a protree...stagin is gonna be a trip

what about upturned exhaust..the b-ton guys hate the smoke trippin the lights..even t&t days
