500-550hp

I think you would be alot happier with it running a smaller charger. I do have that 66 for sale that I mentioned on page one. I have been putting in long hours and forgot this thread. It is a 66/14/65 and has a new 14cm housing on it, and the guy that owns it wants $1150 for it.

What kind of horse are you pushing since you put the 64 on

Haven't dynoed it since the 64, no idea. Those numbers had a strong correction factor, I was not seeing full power from my redline & used a ADR tune that only fueled 70%. My truck is definately stronger than it was before, I'd say I'm at 575ish now [to be on the safe side] but I wouldn't be afraid to bet one of my buddies that its pushing 590-600hp.:hehe: I tow 18k#, but I have 4.10 gears, nv4500. I definately like the 64 better, but it is probably because of my combo.

ok so if i go with a 62, which one should i get so i can upgrade to twins later on. Also what should i use as the bottom charger

I'd go with a 62/71/14 on top of a k-31, s-400, or something along the lines of a .93 a/r housing Silver 71, or an aurora 5000 which is a 1.00 a/r

A 62 won't clean up 200hp injectors. I like my 62/71/13ss. It's a great driving turbo in town and I'm 35's with 3.54 gears and a tight auto. I see around 5psi normal driving, bout 5-8psi on the highway at 70, and 48psi at full boost.

our 62/65/14 cleans up our 6.5's even before the fully ported head. at low throttle it gets a little smokey when it goes into lockup but mid and wot it cleans just fine.

id have to see that the believe it. not trying to call you a lier, but those are some big injectors and a tiny turbo.

Not to thread jack, but how do you think a 62/71/14 over a k31 with 1.38 housing will work?

62/71/14 mach 5s here and it will clean them up with just smarty on but with tst on it doesnt clean them up. Running 35's and 3.55's with 5spd, it tows good as long as you are willing to downshift and not try to run the fueling box on max. Laid down 491.4/ 964.04 uncorrected with a 1.14 correction factor last weekend on dunbar's dyno.

I got plenty of vids I'll post up for ya. It's that or they're not cut from the 4's like Don said they were. ???? Anybody had a set of 4's flowed? We found a bad wire tap during buda dyno day and didn't lay down but 455 +/-. We then paid for an hour after that and laid down 529 ?? +/- and it cleared most of it on the dyno as well. I was plenty dissapointed with the #'s but people tell me I don't have enough turbo to make good #'s with thos sticks so I left it at that. The turbo is even "inefficient" (sp) according to II because the first cartridge started rubbing the housing but I didn't want to spend the money to rebuild so they sent me another cartridge.

YouTube - DR P RACE2 2009 01 31 12 13 34

here's one from the dr. p dyno/race day. sorry for the crappy vid but there's some good runs at the end. you can see there is still a slight haze but it was 104* that day. I got more on the camera but you can clearly see it cleans it up. Even before the fully ported head it was clean. those sticks are that clean or they're not as big as promised???? you decide. :cheer: The deleon vid last year clearly shows a 64/65/14 clearing up the 4's, drag comp/smarty so pump, real early in the pull. but those are just 150's. :kick:

Thats impressive that you can clear them up like that. I clear up very well when I run Redline/Smarty. When I run Adr/redline, I get a haze. With Adr/Smarty, it rolls the coal.

"rolls the coal" all the way through the run or at start-up??

Actually, you did 607hp jackazz.

Depends what settings I have my smarty/redline on. My latest sled pull vid had a full stream of black, but not very heavy.
when would a 64 light with my 200's

Depends what injectors, gears, tranny, you have. My turbo lights at 1400rpm with my M5's.

I have 3.55s 5spd on 37in tall semi tires

First I want to say the BD super b special is a great turbo IFFFF you set everything up correctly. Next I will say I dont think your setup is a good candidate. Those gears along with a 5spd and tall tires are going to be a nightmare with a 64mm or larger turbo if you run 200hp injectors. If you havent ever driven a truck with a big turbo..PLEASE make an appointment with somebody to do so. I think with your setup the smoke would be unbearable......even if you like to smoke people out.
Id say run a 62/71/12 and some GOOD 150hp sticks with some nice adjustable electronics.
That might not make 500-550 but it would still be fun to drive and would run pretty dang good.
