6.4L Cummins Build Complete and awesome.

Either way trans has to come back out for an annual inspection, more upgrades, and converter restall in the spring or while it's put away this winter to accommodate for the abuse it's going to be seeing.

Sorry for the reposting of some of the images. They weren't showing up using Tapatalk so I posted them a second time.

Few pics, don't want to derail from your thread though. Dirty azz thing needs some TLC lol

Oh don't worry she will clean right up I'm sure. I have a couple buddies running ppumped 24v engines. Definitely some power with bigger pumps and injectors.

Just running a 215hp pump with some added parts with maybe 6x.012 injectors. Don't want to put the 6x.020's in that I have. Keeping it conservative around 600ish HP. Head is all done already. Ported, valve job, oring etc... Side draft with port matched manifold. Nothing to crazy lol

Sounds like a reliable build. 600hp is a fun street truck.

When you said you killed a set of rings, what exactly went wrong? I know the end cuts on some of mine weren't perfectly parallel.

Filing them by hand it was hard to keep the ends square and the moly facing kept wanting to chip even with a very fine toothed machinist file. I wanted them as close to perfect as possible.

Where did you get that fan pulley and where can I get one ? Changing the belt wit the FD is a pain in the ass !

Agreed! It would make belt changing so much faster.

Completely awesome build. You are definitely someone who pays attention to detail, it shows by the even distribution and angle of the stickers under the hood.

I'm sure Fastenal loved seeing you walk in the door.

You think the transmission will hold up to this new engine?

Thanks man, and I used the company Account I work for so literally got the bolts for pennies on the dollar lmao.

The converter and trans have about 3k miles on them, but In the current state the trans will not hold up to boost launches very long being I still have a stock intermediate shaft. And Ive heard a DPC triple disc is good for around 100 full power passes at 800-1000hp before needing freshened up. Hopefully going to get it to the track and make some passes to see what she does and if I break the intermediate I will trailer it home. Trans is coming out anyway this coming winter/spring to have the converter restalled, TCS maraging intermediate shaft, some billet drums and clutch retainer to resolve aermet shaft wear issue, and to bolt the rear sprague in. Then run it a season and upgrade to a dpc quad disc with oversized input. Unless I decide to sell it.

Well I have about 1500 miles on it and have to drop the trans pan and valve body already to change the harness due to it leaking fluid into the connector causing it to go into Limp mode. Going to upgrade the transducer to the 94-99 style and upgrade to a DNJ GM Gov pressure solenoid since the pans coming off.

What's the reason for a 94-99 style transducer?

Only asking because I need to drop my pan for a gasket change.

Suppose to be more durable I guess. Have to have a conversion harness for it so I will probably buy the kit BD sells.
