The only disadvantage I can think of, is that you will need to spend some time on a dyno, to get it set up. Personally I think the gains are worth it. Tune it to drive how you like it.

only other disadvantage I can think of is knowing your limits, or not, and blowing stock trans to bits, and or killing a clutch in short order.
 
Thanks guys. I was curious before i buy one. Can you smooth out how well it runs and clean up the smoke any like you could with efi live or a standalone? And do you have sws and then adjust your options to tune it in?
