EFILive Beta First Impressions

Sweet...can't wait.

Any hard numbers as to where RPM limit is now...and is it just the limiter your concerned with, or fully fueled to that limit???

The testing in the end got a little out of sync, and we needed to get back on track. The tester feels he was able to achieve full fuelling to 4200 RPM, and we have further logs to analyse one the public release is done.
One promising thing was when the limiter kicked in the RPM was hovering around 4,100RPM, not the big dive back to 3,700 odd RPM.

We won't be releasing any of "these" tables until the fuelling/RPM issue is resolved 110%.

Cheers
Cindy

Perfect!!! Thank you!

I don't know why but I thought there would be tons of dyno videos comparing efilive to every box tuners numbers. Maybe some videos of less smoke or clips of smoothness. I guess everyone is so excited about efilive existing for cummins, they haven't gotten around to begging for videos or comparisons.

There are ways to do and NOT to do business and conduct yourself. Our testers have been selected to assist us in the development of our product. Many of these testers also happen to operate very successful tuning businesses. It's not in their interests or ours to start attacking other products or dismissing their achievements.

There have been comparisons made in this thread. You'll find the condition or annoyance compared to how it's been resolved in EFILive rather than a direct comparison against another product. Examples include the throttle surging issues and RPM limits.

I know there are ways to do business. I own a business myself. I wasnt saying that the beta testers should start bashing other box tunes. I agree that doing so is not good business. All I said was that I was surprised that it hasnt happened. Someone then followed by saying that once its released to the public it will happen. You will reap the rewards of your customers eventhough you dont condone downing anothers product. Once again, I would like to say I do not approve of bashing anothers product as a business but it will happen.

Our beta rules restrict what the testers can say, although most (if not all) run businesses themselves and understand the points you raise.

Considering the last few days since EFI's last post have been the weekend, I seriously doubt there's any news beyond the last comment left by Cindy...

Maybe try giving them a full work day or two before asking for a news update.

I seriously doubt EFILive is holding back posting any updates. I'll take a wild guess and say if they aren't posting, there's probably nothing new worth reporting but maybe if 20 more people ask for updates, they'll have something new. LOL

I realize the efi live team and testers are still on the 5.9, but I was thinking about purchasing ATS's new co-pilot just to help the transmission performance a little more with my 09 6.7. Has anyone heard wether efi will be able to tune the tcm as well. Sorry to get ahead of the game, but just don't want to spend a few shiney coins and try to sell it used later if efi is going to have that capability as well.
