that is a nice looking header i have started a manifold also will post pics soon making a merge style collector

Sounds and looks good buddy. Watched the fass drag strip vids. Whats the fastests time you get? I want to build a S-10 now. That engine just melts the tires off that truck.:rockwoot:

Most people tell me it's louder than normal Cummins.

Probably because it's not a normal Cummins, either that or they are just swinging on your nutz...:hehe:

Quickest to date is 11.16. Fastest is 124, but not on the same run.

There ain't much there to swing on... I've only once aired it completely out. I'm pretty sure I'm chicken. The bank account needs to recover a little before the next outing. :bang At least I have time to clean it. :hehe:

Brandon,
Do you think you will have any problems with breaking the flange ears off the head with your manifold?
Just wondering.

I'm not really sure what to guess on that. I put oversize holes on the outer two flanges and I'm using 3/4" spacers under the bolt head. I know it's getting hot, the paint burnt off the exhaust runners.

how is your header coating holding up??? Pics?
how many oz's did you buy to coat your stuff? and also how much do you think I would need to do a 4cyl header?
Thanks

It's doing very well so far. There isn't any paint on the exhaust runners and the coating looks great. By the time I did a 1' section of the downpipe and the header twice I think I used <8oz. I can confirm when I get back to the house.

great thanks...so worth the money, time and effort in your opinion?? would you do it again if you had the chance?
Found a oven for $20.00...thinking I might do this to my header..
sorry for all the qestiopns...I just built a SS 4cyl turbo header..it's got provisions built into it for a ED wastegate..I want it to last but I also wanna get it on the road..so I'm trying to decide if it's worth waiting to order all the coatings and apply them or if I just just slap the ss header on and run with it!
thanks for the info.:Cheer:

Brandon, here a picture of my homemade exhaust manifold set-up. I drove her around town yesterday with a shorty open 5in exhaust. Man, did it sound sweet.

Looks good Mike! Whistles quite a bit, eh? :)

I was gonna update this thread anyway after I ran a bigger dose of nitrous. After 1900F the coating turns to powder and flakes off. It was fine at 1700F.
