I just wish I could sell him all the converters he's gonna melt. LOL
Hell, I would just like to have my money back in shipping costs:doh:

I dont no, i think 1200 horespower would be easily attained by stacking a smarty, quadzilla, superchips, hypertech, diablosport, bully dog, banks, and ts mp-8.oke: Seriously tho, wat they said.
I didn't see you spit out a list of parts, complete with part numbers BPA...Ya heaven forbid someone new to high performance attempt to get some answers. Good way to treat a potential new competitor to the sport. That will sure help the sport grow.
A concern of mine with this client would be the let down when he puts it on a chassis dyno. More than likely a 1200HP truck won't be 1200 on a chassis dyno.....you will never get the turbos to light completly. Im sure the client will be sick when he does not see the numbers he is looking for with the money he has spent to get there.
In order for the client to truly be satisfied with his money he needs to send the motor and truck to scheid diesel. They will build the motor then put it on a engine dyno for a proven 1200 HP. Pass this client on...it will be more of a headache if you don't!

Didn't say you had to spill the beans. Didn't have to be little the guy either. Something about this site. You have to run everyone in the ground about and make them feel like chit to suit yourself. What are you guys 5 ft tall with a big diesel? You suffering from small man's syndrome or what? No need to be rude to the guy over and over.
None of what you're claiming actually happened. What did happen was truth, not warm and fuzzy cheerleading, just truth. I never saw anything but straight-shooting.
To be blunt.... expecting to make a reliable 1200hp 5.9 for drag racing use without any existing engine PROGRAM in place is simply naive. You can thank most people in this thread for honestly taking that idea and "running it into the ground" where it belongs. And if the OP takes that advice he might just thank them later for saving him a bunch of grief, time and money down the road when the engine(s) let go or don't make the power. The people building 1200+hp 5.9's that hold together in race vehicles didn't just wake up one morning, get on a forum and ask how to do it.
If a 1200hp 5.9 that's solid enough to make pass after pass after pass is just way easier than I'm thinking then nevermind. And if that's the case then my apologies for running someone down. As it stands I think this thread is merely a reality check.
Idk I feel another long post coming on.................:hehe:
LOL so where is this supposed "threshold" where average joes are no longer supposed to be allowed to build big hp trucks? If you take your time, ask the right questions to the RIGHT PEOPLE, and over engineer its totally possible. Just because schied and others build these trucks doesnt mean an average joe cant....they dont sprinkle magic fairy dust on the motors, they're done right with proper parts and precautions done for EVERYTHING. Thats what it takes.
Well I dont recall this guy ever asking how to make a reliable 1200hp only a drag only 1200hp so the truck will hardly see any miles... he did not say that he wants a bullit proof list of parts only a direction to go with... you guys are overreacting.
That's great....
Problem is "Average Joe" ISN'T trying to build the engine by picking and choosing the parts himself and taking on the responsibility.. He's asking a diesel shop to do it. And IN THAT CASE, that shop had better have their sh*t straight before they stick their ass out on the line for a 1200ish hp engine that grenades because of ___ and the guy's looking at them like, well, when will you have it back together for me...
That's my opinion.
