Highest HP on stock turbo

Sorry i made a mis print at the time of my 525 that was with stock tranny and no lift pump. Now i have transgo tranny and lift pump
 
RobertP, 555 is AWESOME for a stock HE351. How much boost were you pushing? Where was the wastegate set, and what did it creep to?

I thought the HP record for that turbo on #2 was around 527, so you shattered it!!! Congrats.

Man that's got to be some kind of record no one else is even close.

A buddy of mine with his 62 HTT stock cp3 stock sticks is around 550+rwhp # 2 only with his 1/4 times and weight in a 3rd gen

wow i had no i dea it was a record. i did have aftermarket injectors in at the time. the boost was about 40 psi. that turbo was pushed to its limits for a long time. it saw a 60psi blast once by accident. oddly enough it was still in working condition when i took it off. and it was the factory stock turbo.

They hit 1400* on the dyno. Highest I have seen on the street is around 1550* They can get hot quick, but I don't usually drive real hard.

What hp sticks were they? Do you have any track times with that setup?

From what I can remember from a while ago Cali Native Adam Sprague was well over 400 with his HX35 when he changed it for more.I'd have to look back through my tune notes and see what the date was but it was really early in the diesel performance game.I seem to remember that Joe D was also well over 400 with a HX35 and I think he may have tickled 500 with Sickly before he went to an aftermarket charger.

Spragues truck at the time was very quick on the track and was also used for pulling.I used to follow his escapades on another forum board,long before diesel boards were chic.He has long since disappeared on most all of them and I wonder if even the cali gang ever sees him anymore.He also was one of the group which used to roll with HVAC when he was with us.......Andy

no sir, i went from my stocker to a sps66 then to the silver bullet. spring fling 06 was the stocker. then i dynoed 606 with just the addition of the sps66. from there i added the stage two pump, and then the twin pumps and the silver bullet and dynoed 691.

as a matter of fact you have been in the dyno room each time. along with Lloyd, and Greg.
 
Robertp, I have researched these 3rd gen turbos pretty extensively. I'm sure that you have the highest numbers that i have ever seen, read about, or heard claimed. Lots of guys have hit between 500 and 521HP, one or two between 521 and 527, but no one has been above 530 till your freak of nature truck came along!

948tq. @ around 80mph
 
Robort how it fill having a freak truck. I got 1 to. No one sees how the turbo pulls 40 psi and it still hasnt popped
