Installed and running monster pump equipped truck

Mike came over tonight and picked me up, went to my parents and he put the pump on, One heck of a guy!!!! Ol black betty is one FAST truck!!! His chargers hardly whistle until he gets into it:charger: My rig will be running by the end of the week and Ill report back:rockwoot:

Well it looks like we will be trying one these pumps. Mike was busy but very nice to talk to.

He's got them posted in the performance accesories forum. 605hp on fuel only.

I watched a video of a black truck with a Monster Stage II pump, I think thats what it said... Anyways, in the begining of the video the truck is just idling and sounds lopey... in a diesel sort of way. Is it becuase of this pump or is it because of something else? Or something in conjunction with the pump? Are these pumps streetable? Sorry for the questions, but its just that the more I read about these pumps the more I want to know.

All I know is it sounds bad ass and I want my truck to sound like that one day.

Here is mine from the other night when I got it back together...

the pump wire is NOT tapped so Im pretty much running a edge "EZ" and this baby has TONS of power! Im truly shocked at how much power it does put out on the pump alone.

Im running a 3rd gen head, Mikes injectors, crossover tubes & his stage 2 "monster" pump.... :rockwoot:

They are a very streetable setup with the right amount of air... and most of the lope comes from the pump as well as some of it probably comes from the oversized connector tubes and possible lines.

Mine either ... i dont have the pump tapped yet just a VA box and i thought it had plenty of power.... i got the tires to break lose going down the highway with my buddy from a pull last weekend. I was cruising along at like 1600 1700 rpm and matted it and when the charger lit close to 2300 the ass end got a little light. Very Impressed so far with mine

What is mikes opinion on the lines/cross over tubes vs. his warranty? I am thinking about trying one of the pumps/injectors, and already have .093 cross overs. Are the lines necessary?

Also do they haze at idle? Mine hazes just a little bit at idle, I don't want to end up with a truck that hazes at idle because everytime I enter a "street" class people are gonna whine because of a little white smoke at idle.

IC-Smoke, as cool as your truck sounds, it wasn't as lopey as the truck in the video. I'll try to find it tonight.

His connector tubes are a .110 and he said its no big deal on running bigger lines it whatever your prefrence is... some ppl think they help some dont.... ill take a video of my truck this weekend when i get home ... mine has a little haze at idle but when in gear on the road it just puffs black smoke out at every lope.... def ppl know your not running a street stock class with the pump.... i should have had yoou come take a look at my truck on Sat at the buck TJ I was out there and saw ya pull. You could have seen what kinda haze you would be dealing with and the lope and that stuff.I really dont like driving mine on the road because it is a very smokey truck. Also when im on the highway i have a black haze of smoke the whole time coming out down the highway....

right now with Mike's injectors, Mike's crossovers and .093 lines and a HRVP(Scheid) my truck will lope like mad when coming to a stop light/sign---I have an auto, anyway I just drop it down into 1st and the lope pretty much goes away in about 2-4 seconds--if I leave it in 2nd the lope will last longer and sometime it dies, but usually it will abate-----this is just FYI for guys--- also I have maybe a little haze--very slight when idling with no box or with smarty on #9---I don't think it smokes much smoke when driving either, but it will if I have to get after it----again just FYI for you guys----

Like stated you can use stock lines and crossovers or any combination of sized lines and crossovers, but his injectors should be used with his pump--of course we've been over that a zillion times---

I'm just waiting for my jet hot coated stuff to get done so that I can get my twins back on and then I can get to the dyno and see what happens between this Scheid HRVP and the MONSTER VP---same day dyno with no other changes--should be interesting----chris
