Installed and running monster pump equipped truck

The injectors he makes have different pop off pressures, higher lift and 9mm nozzles in them...The nozzles are apparently out of a Mack. I know for mine I had to hone the injector tip holes in the head out to allow for the spray pattern they produce

UMM last time I checked 9mm nozzles will not fit in anything later than 91.

Im not postive if the hole injector is from a mack or just the tips but i know they would not fit in my head without honing it out to allow for the tips to clear.

I think that I would have machined the tips and not my head but that's just me. BTW - mack nozzles can be machine down just fine to fit.

FLOW and lots of it. Pretty sure I didn't say VP pressure = P7100 pressure.

No, but you're comparing this pump to a p-pump...and then you talk about blowing tips off.

To me, that means you're saying that this thing makes more pressure than a stock VP, and so does a P-pump...which is false.

Am I reading you right?
Chris

Not comparing any pumps here - just injectors. Re-read and you'll see that I'm saying that injectors can be much larger than what they've been before and make power.

Mack Nozzles witch are 9mm OD were a stock is around 7mm If I was told wright .. One big company uses these and they turn them down to fit the head and usally are a 6 hole unless others are added and there not supposed to break like the common style

Well i just pulled my HRVP off today to get sent back to II to get checked out. Its going to be really hard to put the thing back on. I called and talked to mike today and really a Monster pump. Anyone be interested in some II 11holes, II 10holes with lift, II HRVP44???

Hey i told you that my old pump was good for 425 and it did it. So ill tell you the hrvp is good for a solid 500. Maybe your truck just likes all of my trucks handme downs.

mike garentees this not to happen with his injectors wont get into it on whos i was running but they wernt right. So if i were you guys go with mikes becasue he will cover it no questions if it breaks.

When you put something in print Cliffird - make sure you spell it right. Improperly installed injectors cause pump failure like that.

I had no problems installing Mike's injectors or crossovers----

beware of injectors from other companies---I know of only two places to get approved injectors---Mike himself and Coal Train Diesel--Mike stands behind his stuff and Coal Train stands behind their injectors with the monster pump-this was as of two weeks ago----final say is Mike himself though, so it's worth the call---or you can pay the piper now and later if you go with someone elses injectors---plus the injectors aren't that expensive when compared to other injectors-----chris

Although his injectors may be priced right, what if you don't want to go with his injectors. Some guys believe Machs are the best, others DDP, And of course you have the II faithfuls. I myself love my $215 jammer nozzles. Best bang for the buck out there.

I just see these monster pumps as "top performance" stuff if they perform as advertised. And "top performance" guys have certain brands they like. I don't see why any good injector shop can't set the pintle lift to "Mike's Specs."

Injectors can be purchased through Northeast Performance Diesel and myself. I usually keep a set of the bigguns.

I'm sticking with Dynomite Diesel.

There is no reason why another company cant set them to Mike's specs, but how is mike gonna know who is using proper injectors and who isn't when you send the pump back for a warranty claim?

i still might get a pump/injector combo from him and put my p-pump on hold if my SO pump takes a dump this year

Anything bigger than your typical 260/260 with added lift on the metering rod will be just fine - usually 20 thou. 'Mikes' are 6X12thou with lift. I have seen even bigger do well but they're a little too smokey for me.

My guess is he requires you to purchase his injectors for the warranty to be valid. K

like stated--it's the only way that he can effectively weed out the guys who will try and cheat him---

maybe they can set them up and maybe they don't want to take the time to do it otherwise why is Scheid's buying his injectors by the dozen at a time????

there may be more to this than what's been mentioned here---just do as you wish--it's only money----chris

gus im tired of your petty little digs at me i didnt metion your name and u still lashed out at me. way to be a man, i realize i will never get anything from other than your sassy attitude and im tired of it. those injectors were installed correctly i have plenty of witnesses of that.

Bottom line is if you want a warrenty 100% go with his injectors if you want to end up like me with a set of usless injectors and a broken pump becasue u took some one elses advice other than mikes then go ahead but i would not recamned it.
