^x2 I to had one of terrys clutches. Made one hook it welded together called him he didn't return my calls. so I have a $1700 clutch sitn on my bench welded together. Got a haisley comp puller put 42 hooks on it pulled it out looks like new best clutch I have ever had.:rockwoot:

Oh ok yeah the iron clutches last alot longer to heat then the Ceramic feramic crap does. I even think they do better daily driving too but thats just me.

I agree 100%. So far, this clutch is very smooth & actually it isn't too jumpy for towing. It does just fine pulling out with a trailer, although it makes a screeching sound when the discs start to engage.

Yea i let him time a truck once before i got a mile blew a head gasket. Clutch rebuild slipped evan on the street. Him and his associate rebuilt an engine and had more blow bye after the rebuild then when we tore it down. Then they figured I owed them money. Thats what i get for trying to save a buck!:badidea:

Damn it doesn't take much power to trash one of those clutches. One hook a year 300hp maybe:doh:

The screeching sound is normal, after you put about 20 hooks on it mine kinda went away. Or like after a sled pull it usually goes away for a little while then it will come back about a month later. Does Peter's clutch have shims so you can adjust it as it gets worn?

I will second this. Put a ppe clutch in my truck wouldnt shift and slipped after first pull and he did not work with me at all.. Put a SB tripple in and it works like a dream. SB or haisley all the way..$.02

Yes I did, now did all these peeps have a weighted clutch ? When u look at it as for as parts used he's no different than a kennys or other puller type he uses a kennys flywheel they all use the same senored disk weather grabby or non and the hats are pretty much the same 3 fingers add yr weights to yr engine specs or how ever u prefer to yr setup , I guess I just lucked out I need that sometimes

I'm not sure what you mean by shims?

If some you guys knocked off the shop bashing and posted above a kindergarden level this thread may be worth a $hit. Keep it clean.

Why don't yall post pics of ur clutch good or bad. Other wise its just hearsay. I havd yet to see pics of a sbc triple that everyone praises even when I was in the market for a triple and had several offers for a sbc triple used still it was higher than my new clutch not bashin just share ur pics

No SB doesnt use shims the only way to adjust them is to turn the bolts that hold the fingers down and that only fixes the the through out bearing riding against the fingers

I have a sbc 3600 dd 12cb clutch in my 05 great on the street but after abut 10 hooks its a little soft, On my 3" charger pulling truck I have a haisley weighted double 30 hooks still looks great
