Mis-Matched? No longer.

I knew there was a reason for this on his truck....

Ordered one of these fancy devices

Jsp said something previously about having reliability issues with wideband sensors. The innovate is a spiffy device. You can preset it to lambda for gas, ethanol, diesel. But they hate oily soot and diesel wet exhaust.

I'm installing one on my TDI today as soon as UPS shows up. I know another using one on a TDI as well.

I'd imagine that as long as you're not running 12:1 AFR, the sensor will be fine.

Seems to me your chargers are similar to my old set but billet wheels so should out perform.

For reference:

That was the single pull on the AKA Transmission killer/Rod oh mush tune. Only a measly 835hp LOL but at 2000rpm.

Point being those chargers will compound like mad down low. I'd be very comfortable with the decision to go billet rods.

I've forgotten, but what chargers were these?

Here is a log from my data acquisition and VCDS(vw tdi) showing AFR.

Li0yvzy.jpg

AFR is the dark blue line going from 40, down to about 18 and then back up to 40.

The high sample rate is capturing the exhaust pulses(cyan).

Rolled onto it good and long since clutch isn't holding much....

Run the same gauge on my Turbo sleds. Awesome gauge and has lasted 5+yrs on my 2-stroke sled.

I'm curious how long the O2 will last with soot going thru the exhaust. I usually go thru one sensor per sled a year. My 2-stroke oil kills them and the lead in my 4-stroke kills them.

If you need a sensor let me know I have the part number at work of the replacement from RockAuto that is almost 1/4 the price of Innovate.

Is it any cheaper than that one?

Pretty close to that price. If I remember right it was right around $50 after shipping

Looks like Csynder does some good work. I am itching to do some compounds on my truck. These thread's just scare the heck out of me though.

Freaking injectors..... Thats my hold up now and apparently, when looking back at the chain of events was the real reason for my issues, before tearing the motor down to find bent rods, so two issues.

Basically i'm not real happy with exergy's ability to test my injectors. I'll be calling them tomorrow to see how they missed or broke my #1 injector.

Shipping did it. Or installer. Guarantee that is what they say since you didn't check them right after you got them. Then if it was broke they would blame shipping.
