Missouri CMPA 3.0 pro stock class

So the truth comes out....but anyways. Water to air intercooler makes a big difference, plus everything else the "black crow express" has a bunch of little things add up to make a big difference. I don't know what has been changed since last year if anything. I don't know if Jahnsens truck is much different either, but I know what it dyno'd. even though dyno numbers don't make as much of a difference on the track as you'd expect. Basically what i'm saying is it's like last year put the black crow truck with one set up apples for apples, and see what happens. With all the 3.0 classes poping up it may be open season for hunting crow. Oh and on the same pump as the blackcrow truck, is it the same 13mm you were claming the rack was hanging on at the state fair?

I would have to say Justin has a vry strong running truck but as many as people that call him a cheater if it was me I would try to clear my name. He needs to start pulling with his caliber of trucks and not picking on the little trucks. Nobodies truck the other night was close to him. We were doing some comparing today watching Justin's pull and it takes him longer to spool his turbo than it takes Ingram. Another thing is Brad you can call up and he'll talk to you on the phone and is very nice a polite while alot of the guys in Jeff City turned up thier nose when anybody came around.

cmpa 3.0 class

I very rarely write anything on here, but if it will stop all the griping about the rules I be glad to. The black crow can and has been beat, but we continue to make it better. We be running more with the ITPA guys this year, and all those trucks are extremely competive. The ITPA guys are working hard to keep this diesel truck class around for years to come without all the hub bub. This is the reason for the Missouri classes adopting ITPA rules to keep everything even. You can't compain about certain truck showing up at pull if they meet the rules, because everyone is capable of the same thing. No one discounts a lesser power truck, because those are the trucks that will step up and make 15 to 20 trucks in a class. We have been hammered on for over a year and deal with it the best we know how. I will also agree the scheid diesel is very polite, helpful, and one of the only reasons this class exists, and are making a living doing so. The future of diesel truck pulling will probably be split into 2 or 3 classe as more trucks are built. There is always going to be someone with something more, but you just go back to the drawing board. Thanks

I agree completly with justin meets the rules and why not go if they let you pull. Brad is nice to talk to on the phone, and I know a few of the guys that were at jeff city can be difficult to talk to, however I have spoken with justin at pulls last year, and he is just as polite as Brad, or anyone else, he never once has seemed stuck up, real nice guy. I'm also not saying anything bad against the Black Crow Team, they have a really nice truck, have put a lot of effort into making it hook well. I was just saying it can be beat just like everyone else, nobody is untouchable, and it'll be a close run this year in the 3.0 classes everywhere as long as they are dedicated 3.0 trucks, and not just 2.6/2.8 trucks that meet safety rules. I'm for haveing fun, but a 2.6 truck will get 65ft plus put on them by a dedicated 3.0 truck.

I'm not saying Justin turned his nose up didn't get to talk to him but he did seem nice. I think they need to maek up some more classes if they expect to have more trucks pulling with them. All the trucks that were pulling there in the day time went home. i should have done the same thing to be honest. There was also dedicated sled pulling trucks there get 30ft laid on them by Justin. His truck seems to be even a little hot for the 3.0 class but then again maybe not. There really wasn't many other guys there that really had thier truck setup like Justin. Jahnsen's truck is really a truck setup to run the 2.8 class and Imhoff's truck didn't run as good as last year. I think there are more than a few guys around the state that would put a few ft on Justin. Alsot of guys don't even have thier trucks done yet. I know that Dmax at Belle would put up some competion with him. So is anybody on here a member of that organazation? Maybe they need to work on some more diesel truck classes unless they aren't worried about it.

I agree with you very much.

Are you saying you have video? If so, any way to see my pull? I hate to sound like a broken record.....:bang

Yes we have it on video but it is on a video camera and Dane is not nearly trained anough to transfer it to a computer. Jflagg watching your pull on video 1. You probably could of got away with a higher gear 2. You have the same problem as Dane with the Adrenaline as it was cutting out on top. So SMoking S you are around the MMTTPA alot are they even considering adding any more classes or do they just want the 3.0 class? Seems like they could get alot more trucks with some smaller classes. Even co saction some pulls with the show-me smokers or any other organazation. Alot of people like watching the 2.5-2.6 class trucks. Look at the poll a couple threads down alot of votes for the 2.6 class. Just another step also towards moving forward with missouri pulling. The more classes we have the better it's gonna get. But your not gonna have anybody hooking thier trucks aganist Justin anytime soon. You guys can do whatever you want but just an idea?

Their was a duramax at oak grove last year i would like to see pull against justin, and i'm a dodge guy. It was a white four door, from wisconsin. I do think everywhere needs to have a lesser class than just 3.0, it may just be a matter of time i dunno. After being around a few MMTTPA pulls last year, I doubt myself, or any friends will be pulling with them, but their are more assoc. around.

The MMTTPA seems to be a nice enough organazation but if they did go with more diesel classes I think they would need to get a little better tech IMO. The thought my truck was completly stock. They looked at the turbo and said it was a stock turbo. I know that duramax your talking about it was at Belle Mo. and there is a video floating around of it. I'd say it would probably put a good competition to justin. Last year at Belle he put 40ft on kevin Cole and Kevin Cole is running right behind Justin.

The one at belle ran good but the one i was referring to was different. It wasnt a dually, fully gutted interior, i think it could of beat the one at belle, i don't know

I know the DMAX your referring too. It ran at platte city last year. Got beat by Tomac, Coppess, Kevin Cole. It is a great running truck, when it runs, seems to be plagued by a case of the jitters, or something. Kusilek. I have seen both trucks run, I think Wakemens Dually would take Kusileks.

There is always going to be someone with something more, but you just go back to the drawing board. Thanks

Or someone with a ton more illegal stuff that makes it so obvious it ridiculous which makes people complain. So you made no point at all on the subject. Stretching the rules and cheating is one thing. But whoever you are. Those guys took it to a whole new level.

Yes troys duramax is a damn good running truck. Smokingoat when did you see jahnsen dyno his truck? As far as i know that motor and pump hasnt been dynoed. But that truck is exactly the same from last year. No additions or subtractions. After i called Eric on saturday he said he would go see if it would start and load it up. So id say it hasnt moved in a while.

I competely agree with Justin, Brad is a very nice guy and will talk at length with you. BUT keep in mind he is making a huge profit from diesel truck pulling. Yes, it is one thing to be a nice guy and talk to everyone, but should you absolutely have to??
I agree that there should be several classes like in the tractor side, to give everyone a better shot to compete in there respective level. A few classes would help settle down the complaining that one class produces, with respect to differences in set up.

I agree with this also, but there are also more limiting factors between tractor classes like cubic inch limit, head work, manifolds, etc.

...I guess in an ideal pickup pullling world all of the big three would have similar displacement inline 6 engines :Cheer:

I saw Jahnsens truck dyno at the beginning of the year last year, it was at MCS Midwest Performance Diesel. Not saying it is exactly the same, but you say it is unchanged since last year, and what I saw was what he started last year with. It was right before the new color scheme.

I seen jeff,s truck on MCS dyno also You can't load a pulling truck the wright way on a chassy dyno just don,t work with a big charger.Eric made a few passes.
