I hope its a typo that the spec only covers a .5 second range when all the others are 1.0 to 1.5 seconds. Maybe they will wait to address that when the time comes?

Not a typo unfortunately. The committee wouldn't comfortably allow any faster with 1 5/8" main bars.

The 5000lb part doesn't make much sense. 4500 and 7.50 would have kept everyone covered for a while. Good work regardless.

Because more than half of the prostreet field at events are over 4500lbs probably more closer to 5k lbs..

This is why for 5000lbs. And the LS truck guys being included.

Does anyone know what all is being added to the cages?

Basically it has a few more bars than a 25.5 cert. So a whole bunch more compared to 8.50.

The should just allow PE to certify or equal type designs as long as it does not provide a weight advantage...

I could design a 1-5/8 cage way stronger than the 1.75 discussed.
