Project DeRanged truck progress

Well, got the cooling system finished, just have to add coolant and watch it all leak out now. LOL

Also stripped out the OEM Ranger fuse box and underhood wiring. Rewired the harness, and cleaned it up. Still not done yet, but close.

And got all 8 EGT probes for the data logger today. Thanks Dennis Perry.

OK, finished off the Cooling system, and filled it with anti-freeze. Filled the transmission with Royal Purple ATF fluid. Changed out and re-bled the brake lines with a proportioning valve and brake light switch. Ran nitrous lines up to the engine bay. Second Nitrous bottle will be at my house today, (I will not be there though), Have the Painless wiring kit ready to install for the lights and gauges, and ignition circuits. Gene is making me a mount for my alternator to mount where the AC used to be. I have a weak starter, but have another on my workbench waiting for me. Basically if I were home, and if I had my FICM back from Doug, I would be driving it this weekend.

Not gonna lie Tim, I think it's so much cooler that it will be "streetable". Good luck man, I know you've gave it your all to get it this far. I wish you all the best buddy.

But if it wasn't for Doug. You would be still trying to figure out why those brakes wouldn't bleed and you would have crashed the ranger...

Well its official, after talking to Josh at Grandrock today, this thing is gonna have a hood stack until we are sure on the turbo sizing. Actually, its gonna have a "no hood stack" LOL

My photoshop skills suck, but you get the picture.

so you are doing a alt. similar to ours? Looks good, coming along nicely, shouldn't be long now..

No its gonna be the stock unit, but tucked under where the AC compressor used to be.

C'mon MAN!! FINISH!!!

Actually, wait just a little... I need to throw a few pistons in mine this off-season. :evil

Everyone has their preferences. Luckily when they build theirs, they can run a hood stack. LOL

Tim, give me a call before you start on the wiring. I have a couple of questions you need to answer before. I just wanna make sure that you have everything covered and I might have a couple of suggestions to help you make it go a little smoother.

I like hood stacks, just like the look of the GR stacks out the back. Either way its gonna be good to see smoke out of either.

Well 74 pages late but im tuned in now. lol I love this project already and cant wait to see it run. Is there a 1/4 mile track in North Austin? Only one I know of in the area is Academy.
