I think this was a first time a non CP3 truck has won a 2.5 or 2.6 class at a National Pull

Blair won the 2.5 at scheids with a Vp44 he was bumped up in the 2.8 for TS

as for P pumps go in the 2.5 there is still so much u can do , and its a 2.5 class so much that they can handle !! Brandon had his CHIT together so suck it up I sware if a Dmax doesnt win a 2 or 3 then here goes the cryen

No I was just talkin in general that I am sorry I did win it wasnt directed at U I built a 2.5" truck to compete near the top I pulled it off and I get complaints about ( that aint no street truck, and it has too much fuel) well if this is the case buy a 12V and build the same truck I have I was looking at getting in the top 10 if I got lucky but all the help and advice I have gotten netted me 1st place and for those of you that don't like it im sorry it is just the way the cookie crumbles.......I would not be on here *****ing if I got 2nd or 3rd or 46th I don't care but tuff CHIT I won whoopde dooooo so what get over it and we will meet on the track again and mabey you will win I just love it period it is fun and if I don't get 1st again so what it is fun and that is why I do it so do as I do sit back put right foot down drop the clutch and laugh mabey you will win if you chill out :hehe::hehe::hehe::hehe:.
Brandon

Brandon, you dont owe an apology to anyone. You are one of the nicest people i met at the pull, and just so happen to have a mean 12 valve. You met the rules, and you won, so there is no griping to be done from anyone. Griping doesent build a winning truck. Hard work and patience does. Maybe one day I will just be able to afford to pull, and id be honored to have you beat me:rockwoot:

Eric

This is some crap. It has been over three days with no results posted. I hope that this is not a showing of how wideopen runs all their events. Our local county fairs arn't even this bad.

Brandon, don't ever be sorry for winning, you did'nt cheat. Be proud of your accomplishment and screw the people who talk chit.

-Tom

Damn, they really tightened up that sled for the 3.0 and modified classes huh???

-Tom

I guess i just dont see the point in building a dedicated puller just to enter it in with a bunch of street trucks, when theres a class perfect for his truck Its not like it wouldnt have been competitive in the 2.8

It met all the rules for that class. His truck is not a dedicated pull truck, I guarantee he can still easily drive that truck on the street.

I've seen him do it...although he did have to bring the timing back down from where I told him to set it:hehe: It's not his daily driver, but it is very driveable!

Brandon...wasn't this your first hook?

Yes it was...unless you count him dragging that dozer around!

Damn fine job for his first time...and a fun guy to hang out with.

Its not a dedicated puller, he just don't drive it. There no point in pulling in the class with a built truck. (It may pass tech but that not the point) The class was designed for truck that gets drove everyday. Be for everybody starts i'm not *****n because a dmax didnt win. I have three cummins.

my truck was daily driven till i bought a beater car. its about 500hp shy of competitive in the 2.8 class, but my turbo is too big and i ran it anyway and got 76' put on me by the top trucks in the class.

am i supposed to cry because they were all big p-pump trucks that are built to pull and couldnt make a 10 mile drive down the road?

his truck would not be competitve in the 2.8 class it would probably take another $5000-10,000 (water injection, bigger turbo and probably more work to the bottom end) if your truck isn't purpose built your not gonna win any class. i can't wait til the season starts if brandon only put .02ft on wesley, it is going to very competitive once john shriver is thrown into the mix. top 3 trucks in the 2.5 class will be vp vs p-pump vs cp3.

I dont konw where you get your work done but if i cost 5k-10k i think i would be thinking about going with a dirrerent shop or just doing the work myself

How did a daliy driver truck get in the open class with a bunch of trailer only trucks and was able to get in the top 5? :hehe:

Who said the class was for every day drivers ????? funny thing 2.8 still requires plates and insurance so what about that ??? You want stock they have that in the DHRA like the old saying if your going to run with the big dogs get off the porch

Did you pull?

As far as Brandon spraying that rig....he ain't got the nuts :hehe: :hehe:
